She does not notice when she falls asleep, and later finds herself on a large, soft bed. The landscape outside the panoramic windows is unfamiliar to her, but it offers a view of the ocean. From the street, she can hear the cries of seagulls and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks. Her thoughts wander to the events that have taken place and to the fact that Vergil now realizes that he has always been first in her heart.

The door creaks open, and Vergil strides in, his boots muffled by the plush carpet. He's shed his trench coat, wearing just the sleeveless turtleneck that hugs his lean frame. In his hands, he carries a tray with a steaming cup of tea and a plate of delicate pastries.
