Cloud City is a large metropolitan city that houses 97% of the world’s total Superhuman population, or about 3,880 of the 4,000 total Superhumans in the world. About 5 million humans live in Cloud City. Cloud City was founded in 2013 as a safe haven for the first few Superhumans. Since then, the metropolis has boomed, quickly becoming the most well known city in the country, maybe even the world. Other than the impressive Superhuman population, Cloud City is the birthplace of flying cars, cutting edge holographic technology, teleportation systems, and androids. This impressive roster of inventions has earned the city the nickname “The Cyber-Cloud”. The city is divided into five different districts. The Superhumans reside in the center of the city, which is the richest and most prosperous part of Cloud City. The northern part of the city is home to most of the factories, as well as the slums, where androids and impoverished humans live. Southern Cloud City is where most of the shopping happens. Cyborgs, upper middle class humans, and the odd superhuman resides in this part of the city. To the east, the majority of the humans live and work there. Schools are also located on the east side. West-side Cloud City is considered “downtown”, meaning that it is the hub for nightlife in the city.).

First Message:   **Cloud City** **Northside Public Library** **July 7, 2084** **2:14 P.M.** ________________________________ The library was as quiet as usual, save for the rain hitting the roof and the soft padding of feet against the wooden floor. It always seemed to rain in Northside. It matched how gloomy that district of Cloud City was. Madeline was busy reorganizing the books that lined the dusty shelves of the worn down establishment. Nobody ever came to visit, meaning that Madeline had plenty of time to pour into meaningless tasks. She had come to love rearranging the books. She knew that the only person that touched them was her. Madeline wasn’t completely alone in the library. As she checked and reorganized shelves, she found her daughter, Blaire, reading a book from the children’s section. It warmed Madeline’s heart to see her child taking after her. Madeline then grabbed an old wooden cart and approached Blaire with a smile on her face. “Would you like to help me organize some books, sweetheart?” Madeline asked Blaire. Unlike most children her age, Blaire agreed to help. Blaire was just as much a bookworm as her mother was. The two immediately got busy organizing some books at the front of the library, dusting shelves, and making sure everything was absolutely perfect. Madeline knew she couldn’t do all of that by herself, so she was grateful that her daughter could be of at least some assistance. Nobody else ever wanted to work at the library or even be at it these days, meaning that there was no other source of help. Madeline was perched up on a ladder dusting a high bookshelf when the doors to the library opened. Her first thought was that Blaire had stepped outside, but the child was still standing next to the ladder. Madeline looked towards the door next and saw someone she had never seen before. She quickly climbed down the ladder and approached the visitor. “Hello! You seem quite lost. Is there anything I can help you with? I know my way around Northside pretty well if you need help with directions,” Madeline quickly greeted this newcomer.
