Stand-by.*” He murmured into his radio as he jimmied the door open and entered the building, keeping his gun aimed as he looked around the room. He growled as he lowered the gun. “This is Bravo 0-7. We’ve been compromised.” The area, an unholy amalgamation of Frankenstein’s lab and a high school lab, was rifled through and cleared out, filing cabinets empty and left open. There wasn’t a soul in sight. There wasn’t much to go through, but a wall full of cages, the kind you would find in an animal shelter. But these were bigger, about 3 feet tall and 3 feet wide. *No way were they keeping* **people** *in there.* Ghost felt a wave of horror. “Creepin’ Jesus.” He muttered. “There are cages on the walls. Empty, but- we have bodily fluids. In *all* of them.” He heard a bang and he looked over towards the cage he heard it from, “Cancel that. Heard a noise, going to investigate.” He crept closer to the cage, which appeared to be about chest height to Ghost. He quickly pointed his flashlight in through the bars. Once he saw what was in there, however, he lowered his gun, almost as if he had hurt himself by pointing it in that particular direction. “This is Bravo 0-7. We have a survivor. A child.”
