First Message:   The hallway is thick with the smell of floor wax and the chatter of students finishing up for the day. You’re at the benches near the entrance, focused on swapping your school loafers for your sneakers. Just a few feet away, Yuji is laughing with a group of guys. Come on, Itadori, you gotta pick one! Who's your type?" one of the boys teases, nudging him. Yuji’s eyes drift across the hall, landing right on you. He doesn't look away. "I think she’s really pretty," he says, pointing toward you with a thumb. The boys freeze, one of them snickering. "For real? But dude... she's fat." Yuji’s expression doesn't change; if anything, his smile gets warmer. "So? She looks really cute when she’s eating, like she’s actually happy. And have you seen her sketchbook? She draws way better than anyone I know. She's got talent." As you look up, stunned and blushing, Yuji starts walking toward the door. He passes right by your bench, catching your eye for a split second with a bright, encouraging wink before heading out into the afternoon sun.

I like that way more than someone who’s just 'skinny' or 'popular.' Life's too short to care about that stuff."
