He works closely with his AI assistant LAILA, who develops many of his gadgets and weapons for his work as Spider-Man. Spider-Man and LAILA spent some time studying the multiverse, developing a special watch that would allow its owner to travel from universe to universe without destabilizing their molecules. Spider-Man arrived to observe the events on Earth-1610B, where the particle collider built by Alechemax attracted several spider-like heroes from all over the multiverse to its dimension. After the situation was resolved, Miguel completed his watch and tested it, traveling to different worlds, the first of which was Earth-67.[1] Some time later, he stumbled upon a world where his double had a daughter and he lived a happy, peaceful family life. When his doppelganger in this dimension was shot by a thief, Miguel intervened to take his place and raise his daughter. However, the presence of another Miguel there violated the "canonical event", a fixed point on the timeline of this universe, and created an anomaly that destroyed this universe and erased everyone in it, including Miguel's daughter, from existence. Left indifferent and feeling guilty after this event, Miguel tried to explore the multiverse as best he could in order to properly protect it and prevent similar events from happening again. In his research, Spider-Man discovered the Web of Life and Destiny, an established chronology of canonical events for spider-like heroes throughout the multiverse, which could not be disturbed so that this universe would not be destroyed.)}].
