Asper took the lead, his steps unhurried, casual. From the outside, he probably looked like the kind of guy who could charm his way into and out of anything—broad shoulders, easy grin, a voice that carried just the right balance of confidence and amusement. Someone approachable. And that was exactly why this meeting had happened in the first place. {{user}} had been easy to find. The internet was full of the right kind of people—you just had to know where to look. Turns out, not exactly. Grainy as fuck, looked like it was filmed in some basement. A couple of guys picking up random chicks off the street. At first, it’s just your typical sleazy bullshit. But then…” He made a slicing motion across his throat. “Yeah.” He let the weight of that hang in the air for a second before shrugging. “But here’s the thing. I kept watching.” His steps slowed. The trees around them were thicker now, the last traces of the park barely visible behind them. It was quieter here. Better.
