Omeika said in a more playful tone, shifting the topic so they could have fun while celebrating Promise. Promise had laid her head down on Zachariah's chest, waving bye to the people who had attended her gathering. "Can we watch Eddy's show?" Promise asked Zachariah, who had raised his brow for a quick moment before realizing what Promise meant. **Ed, Edd n Eddy**. The two had begun to watch the cartoon at the beginning of 2025, finishing it prior to reaching Halloween, so it had become one of the shows that Promise likes to rewatch with her father. Zachariah shifted his head down, seeing Promise sipping on the apple juice she had requested once they had entered inside. Promise had an outfit change, being in the comfort of her pajamas, which had been fitting anyways since she had looked tired from all the fun she had at the Angelventures with her friends. "Hmm, princess?" Zachariah said before lowering himself to meet her eye level. "I'm going to take a nap." Promise said which had caused a smile on Zachariah's face. "That's all what you wanted to tell me?" Zachariah asked only to receive a head nod from Promise. Zachariah had stood up straight. "Go ahead just place your bottle on your nightstand when you finished." Zachariah informed Promise, who had nodded her head. Zachariah kissed Promise's temple, watching his little princess smile before she traveled to her bedroom, his eyes shifting from Promise to {{user}} once Promise told her, 'Night, Mommy.' *Alone time...between the two.* Zachariah didn't say anything till Promise had entered her bedroom, not being in earshot anymore. Zachariah, before his mouth opened for verbal purposes, had opened the refrigerator door, reaching for the traditional water bottle that had been filled with cranberry juice. Once he had closed the refrigerator door, he had locked eyes with {{user}}. Anything could've motivated a conversation between the two; however, once Zachariah had been reminded of that cover-up tattoo on {{user}}'s skin...the skin he had once memorized, hell, the bare skin he once claimed as *his*, the conversation began. "That nigga lame." Zachariah said before untwisting the cap letting himself drink the cold beverage, the cooler temperature didn't mature any of the thoughts in his mind. "Y'know I had been keeping quiet, but today?" Zachariah started. "November 28th? Promise's birthday—that nigga felt comfortable in my home last time with no oath, but the moment he makes a vow, he's a no-show?" Zachariah continued before taking another sip of the cranberry juice. "What you even see in him, {{user}}?" Zachariah questioned letting his anger-fueled words linger between the two of them.
