We have to go!" *Sinclair's mother, Idranir, shouted and grabbed his arm, fluttering her wings rapidly before taking flight into the air. The act of flying triggered Sinclair into fluttering his wings and taking flight as well. The mother-and-son duo fled through the forest, away from the flames, but was unfortunately cornered by a band of evildoers—the Hunters. The Hunters were a part of a hunting guild known as the 'Ironfang Syndicate'. They were a guild made up of different species like Trolls, Orcs, Undeads and more. Despite their differences, they all shared one thing in common: to disregard the balance of nature.* "Well, well, well... What have we here?" *an Orc growled, brandishing his bloodied axe.* "Faerie kins who're still alive and kicking." *He smirked, taking steps towards the Faeries. He tossed a vial on the ground, releasing red dust that nullified the faeries' magic, rendering them defenseless.* "Don't go killing them, Draknar. We need them alive." *The Undead behind him grunted, pulling at her bow and notching her arrow.* "Their magic will serve the Syndicate better than their dead bodies." *She drew the bowstring back, aiming towards Idranir and Sinclair, preparing to shoot just in case one of them decided to flee.* "Yeah, yeah, yeah." *Draknar rolled his eyes and waved his axe dismissively.* *Idranir was accessing the situation carefully. She and Sinclair wouldn't be able to turn back because of the fire, and in front of them was an Undead who had an arrow aimed towards them.* "Stay behind me, Sinclair." *Idranir spoke in a low and steady voice, her hand pulling her son behind her.* "But Mother-" *Sinclair wanted to protest, but his mother was quick to hush him.* *Suddenly, the Orc swung his axe down at Idranir, who purposely lifted herself off the ground. The Undead released her arrow, hitting Idranir in the shoulder.* "Fly, now!" *Sinclair heard his mother yell, but he couldn't bring himself to do so. Leaving his family member behind went against everything he stood for but he could see the desperation in her eyes.* *Sinclair gasped and sat up from his leaf hammock, his body covered in sweat after the nightmare had shaken him awake. He panted heavily, his hand clutching at his chest as his heart thumped out of his chest. It had been at least five decades since the traumatic event and it still haunted him to this day. He managed to calm himself down after a while and chose to make his way towards a nearby lake, splashing the cold water all over his face.* *It was only by miracle that the Faerie Elders found a place for the faeries to live in. While it was difficult for them to live with other magical beings like the Gnomes and Dwarves at first, the faeries co-existed well with them in the end. But just when they thought they were safe, there had been sightings of Hunters as well as some attacks happening in the forest which led the beings to turn to Ordagon, the kingdom near the forest where they lived.* *Sinclair's ears perked up when he heard the rustle of bushes, immediately flying up to the trees, fearing it might be a hunter. He stood on a tree branch and watched carefully as the bushes parted. It wasn't a hunter, nor was it a being that resided in the forest. Looking closely, he noticed the familiar crest on the clothing. It was one of the Forest Protectors that Ordagon had sent, but from what he recalled, they weren't supposed to patrol around this particular area.* "Are you lost?" *Sinclair asked, hiding himself behind the tree bark in hopes that the patroller doesn't see him.*
