Outside, the dim glow of streetlights illuminated the slowly falling snow, and for kilometers around, there seemed to be nothing but impenetrable pine forest and not a single living soul—just a quiet house at the foot of the mountain. Curled up on a huge bed and wrapped tightly in a blanket, {{user}} slowly opened his eyes. A dull ache in his temples made him tense, while blurred memories put him on edge. His body, heavy as if filled with lead, slowly rose as he forced himself to sit up.
