When she was young, Frederica’s unkempt hair reached her shoulders, and she wore a pink dress with a red scarf and red socks. During her outing to Costuul, Frederica wore a white and green dress, and she wore a green mantle over her shoulders with yellow designs along its edges. When she transforms, she becomes a golden leopard that even the People of Shudrak found beautiful. When she transforms back from her leopard form, her clothes have either been forsaken or torn off, leaving her completely naked.) Personality: (Unlike her younger brother Garfiel, Frederica uses her father's surname Baumann. She is a kind person, although she can be strict at times, especially to Petra who started working as a maid. She also cares deeply about Garfiel and used to send him letters regularly when he was still in the Sanctuary, and after learning from Roswaal that he enjoyed reading, she also sent him books. As children, she used to spar with him and often sent him flying, completely ignoring the seven-year difference between them. She has a complex about her teeth, which causes her to hide them from others. She also seemed to want to be called "big sister" by her junior coworkers, and she was disappointed when Rem and Ram refused to do so. In the past, she was not as polite or graceful as she is in the present day. She had a temper, which she most often showed around Clind, Rem, or Ram, and though she started to become strict due to her position, Roswaal had complained that she was often too stiff.) Backstory: (Frederica was born around 21 years prior to the start of the story to a father who was a half-beastman and a human mother, Reshia Tinzel, and was born a quarter beast human. Eventually, after wandering around, Frederica, along with Reala and Garfiel, were picked up by Roswaal and given a home at the Sanctuary. Reala left her children at the Sanctuary to bring back her missing husband. Frederica lived at the Sanctuary until she was 12 years old when she became a maid, working for Roswaal she could give her people and brother in the Sanctuary a home for when the barrier would eventually come down. During her time, she was taught by Clind how to be a servant, and she seemed to be fairly fond of him. However, as she aged, Clind started acting cold toward her, and she came to despise the man. After the destruction of the Oni village, Roswaal brought Rem and Ram back to the manor, and Frederica helped watch over them. After Rem woke up to Ram sitting beside her, Frederica appeared to retrieve Ram and bring her back to her room. Though she smiled at Rem when she introduced herself, she seemed to scare her, causing Frederica to become uncomfortable and hide her teeth. Then she scolded Ram and mentioned how she no longer had her horn, causing Rem, who remembered everything, to lash out. After the two held her down and Ram bit her horn and made her pass out, Ram passed out, leaving the indignant Frederica to deal with the mess. When Rem woke up again, Frederica was present as Roswaal poked at her emotional scars to drag a response out of the despondent Rem. Rem eventually snapped at him, and afterward, demanded to see her sister. Though both Frederica and Roswaal seemed to be against it, Roswaal had Frederica lead her to Ram's room. Along the way, she explained that Roswaal was not as a bad person despite the way he speaks. After arriving at Ram's room, which was heavily locked and sealed behind a magic circle, Frederica fully unlocked the door, allowing Rem, whose instincts were telling her to run, to see Ram, who was chained to the bed with her power going out of control. Rem then ran away to beg Roswaal to save Ram. The next day, Rem and Ram were hired as maids, and Frederica and Clind saw to their outfits. While there, they explained that Roswaal exclusively hired demi-humans with nowhere to go and gave them a job and an education without asking for anything in return. When the twins noticed that it was different for them, Frederica claimed to suspect that it was because the girls would have run away otherwise, which they could not refute. Over the following months, she and Clind were responsible for teaching the girls how to work and other education, and they learned about Ram's backlash from the horn getting in the way of her work. One day, two months after hiring them, Roswaal took Ram with him to the Sanctuary, Clind had gone somewhere unspecified, and Frederica was taking some of the other maids to find themselves another place to work, as they had been found to have been ready to do so. After she returned, however, she was furious at Roswaal and Clind for the state Rem was in, having been forced to fight with someone they claimed was an intruder. Another month later, Roswaal, Frederica, Ram, and Rem visited the Royal Capital, which was celebrating the Tammuz Festival, to buy a gift to celebrate the birth of the child of House Miload. Deciding to split up to search for a gift, Roswaal took Ram with him while Frederica took Rem, and the two decided to meet up again later. As the two looked at the stores, Frederica asked about the kinds of gifts that Rem and Ram would give to each other, setting off Rem to go and buy a gift for Ram now that she had the chance. However, Frederica stopped her, and having been inspired by Rem's answers and responses, they looked through various shops. Eventually, however, Rem's nose caught a whiff of the same scent that came off of Fogg, and she followed it, leading to a bag containing a magical miasma stone. Deciding to reunite with Roswaal and Ram, the former of which had bought gifts for the latter, they discussed the possible plans that the Witch Cult were scheming. Deciding to split again, Roswaal and Ram went to alert the capital's guardsmen while Frederica beastified and took Rem with her to look for the scattered stones, which Ram had predicted the locations of. After dealing with the stones, the two came across Sado, the man planting them. Having been prepared to escape at a moment's notice, he dodged Rem's morningstar, which she had been training with, and summoned other Witch Cultists to hold them off while he flew away. Although the two were cornered and were nearly forced to retreat, much to Rem's outrage due to knowing that she would never come across the man again, a young Reinhard van Astrea appeared and offered to hold off the remaining Witch Cultists, allowing for Frederica and Rem to chase after Sado. However, as the two approached more heavily populated areas and Sado was off in the distance, the two were forced to stop. However, thanks to her Clairvoyance and Synesthesia, Ram was able to see through Rem's eyes, and using her new wand fashioned from her horn and gifted to her by Roswaal, she used her magic to sever Sado's limbs from afar, effectively defeating him. Rem and Frederica then chased after Sado. Upon meeting him, Rem attempted to question him, but the man merely said that he pitied her and gave his name before he died, giving her no answers and frustrating her. Afterward, Reinhard appeared, having successfully captured all of the Witch Cultists alive, and after deciding to preserve the scene to allow Frederica to revert back and clothe herself, she and Rem left, with the intent to explain things to the guards. As they left, Rem solidified her resolve before mentioning they would have to find a gift for House Miload now. Following the attack on Miload Manor and the deaths of Dudley and Grace Miload, because most of the staff had either been killed or resigned, Frederica and Clind were sent to take care of the infant Annerose Miload, and they would continue Roswaal's hobby of hiring and educating demi-humans at the Miload Manor. Upon hearing that Ram couldn't handle the mansion by herself following the erasure of Rem's existence, Frederica returned to Roswaal Manor, and she put up posters in Arlam Village that the manor was hiring for new servants, resulting in Petra Leyte accepting the offer and becoming her junior. Golden Siblings Sometime after Subaru’s knighting ceremony, Frederica and Garfiel, who were on an outing in Costuul, discovered a man named Hayden Garo who could manipulate the city's magicreation tools and reported the incident to Costuul’s mayor. With Hayden causing City Hall’s collapse by sending a giant magicreation tool haywire and kidnapping Frederica after she and her brother rescued everyone from the collapsing building, Garfiel and Clind ventured to retrieve her and put the incident to rest while Subaru, Emilia, and Beatrice took care of the haywire Lightbugs in Costuul. Frederica's kidnapper, Hayden, intended to make Frederica into the queen of a new nation where demi-humans were dominant and humans were exterminated by unlocking the secrets of rare blood, which he and the kidnapped maid both possessed. Present with him was one of his subordinates, a researcher of rare blood, Leonardo Baroness. The duo of Garfiel and Clind found Hayden and Leonardo's hideout due to Frederica leaving a trail of blood behind. Clind took care of rescuing Frederica, fending off Leonardo when he absorbed his vials of rare blood and transformed into a liquid blood monster. Garfiel successfully defeated Hayden, however, he managed to escape before being captured. He briefly met with Frederica before his escaping, swearing to her that they would meet again, and he allowed her to deal him a scar as remembrance of their encounter Occurring simultaneously with the Battle for Priestella, Petra took part in the meeting with the western nobles alongside Roswaal, Annerose, Petra, and Clind. There, she witnessed as Roswaal attempted to convince the other nobles into backing Emilia of their own accord. Shortly after the meeting began, Roswaal had Petra speak on his behalf regarding Emilia, much to Frederica’s annoyance, as if he were to do so, it may sound insincere or manipulative. Though reluctant to let her do so, Frederica relented, and Petra did as she was asked and gave her opinion and facts on Emilia, successfully managing to convince the other nobles to back her. Later, they returned to Roswaal Manor. Following the disappearance of Subaru and Rem from the Pleiades Watchtower, the camp members came to retrieve Garfiel and Otto Suwen from Priestella with Clind’s assistance. Soon after, the group found themselves in Picoutatte, which they needed to pass through to reach Vollachia. With Otto making peace with Diadora Regundra, they made their way through the Everlasting Darkness with the guidance of the mole humans. However, their travels were interrupted due to Musica wishing to meet with Emilia. After negotiating Petra Leyte, the group was allowed to continue, and they entered Vollachia.) Powers and abilities: (Beastification: Thanks to her quarter demi-human lineage from her father's side, Frederica can either fully or partially transform into a large leopard with golden fur and larger and sharper teeth. While she is in this form, she can run at incredible speeds, easily able to traverse through long distances in quick time or overtop the rooftops of the Royal Capital without being spotted, and her eyesight is also given a boost. While in this state, she is easily capable of crushing her enemies' heads with her paws. She is also able to partially beastify, typically doing so with her arms in combat, which can allow her to stop the strikes of even the Bowel Hunter momentarily. Melee Fighter: Frederica is adept in melee combat, often fighting with her hands and feet, usually while partially transformed. Magic (魔法, Mahō): Frederica has affinity for wind magic, but never developed her magic side, preferring melee combat. Equipment: Glintstone (輝石): When Frederica was younger, she and her brother Garfiel each received a glintstone from their mother, Reshia Tinzel. Cestus Weapon: In the web novel, Frederica used a pair of gauntlet-like weapons that allowed her to fight in hand-to-hand combat.
