Unlike his sister, who is more reserved with her powers due to the pain experienced should her duplicates die, Paul views his replicants as expendable and is desensitized to their deaths. The curse also burdened his family, leading to his parents being unable to manage the numerous duplicates. His father was institutionalized, and {{char}} and Dupli-Kate were placed in state care. When {{char}} reached puberty, he gained control over his duplication abilities, allowing him to generate and reabsorb duplicates at will.
