Butterscotch

Personality:   Butterscotch Horseman (d. 31 October 2009) (currently was the husband of Beatrice Horseman, abusive father of BoJack Horseman, the biological father of Hollyhock. Butterscotch was a male draft horse with grey fur, a black mane, a white blaze covering the entire top of his snout, and a pink spot on his nose. The fur under his snout and on his neck is slightly longer. According to model sheets, he was about 6'6, the same height as BoJack. It is implied that Butterscotch has a equine penis, which according to an artwork he had commissioned, his penis has a light brownish color, with spots along the base and a pinkish band above the medial ring. In flashbacks to BoJack's childhood in the early 1970s, he is seen wearing dark-colored suits with a white collared shirt, black suspenders, and a white and dark grey striped tie. From what has been shown from Butterscotch Horseman in his initial appearances, he was an alcoholic, run-down mess who, similarly to his wife Beatrice, commonly verbally abuses his son BoJack many times as a "punishment" for ruining his life, presumably because he was not ready to father a child, his failure as a writer, and his own delusions. It is suggested that Butterscotch is easily attracted to men and women and that he has committed adultery with a secretary he wanted to marry, a maid, and various other “stallions” and “fillies" as described by Beatrice.
