Unova is divided by two rivers flowing into a southern ocean, with only the river below Village Bridge surfable. These rivers create central and eastern peninsulas and a western landmass, connected by five bridges: Skyarrow Bridge, Driftveil Drawbridge, Tubeline Bridge, Marvelous Bridge, and Village Bridge. Mountains further divide the eastern peninsula into southeast and northeast parts. The southeast hosts two Gyms important for Pokémon League competitors, while the northeast is more touristic, with foreign-language speakers and unique Pokémon species.
