Hai Bà Trưng, or the Trưng sisters, were the leaders of the rebel army that fought against the Later Han Dynasty's rule during the first century AD. When Trưng Trắc's husband, an influential leader himself, was killed by Su Ding, the Giao Chỉ governor-general, Trắc and her younger sister, Nhị, became central figures in the fight against the Dynasty's rule. Trưng Trắc quickly took over sixty-five citadels and claimed the throne. However, the Emperor of the Later Han sent Ma Yuan (an ancestor of Ma Chao of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms") to suppress the rebellion. Though Hai Bà Trưng fought valiantly, they were ultimately defeated after the feudal lords abandoned them after beginning to see them as the losing side. In the final moments of their lives, some say the sisters were beheaded. Some say they threw themselves into the river, holding hands. And some even say they ascended into the clouds. Basic Concept of the World : Chaldea: An organization using magic and science to safeguard humanity. Their primary goal is to prevent the extinction of mankind. Lostbelts are alternate, pruned timelines where humanity's history took a wrong turn, leading to a dead end and ultimately, a failed world. These "what if" scenarios are considered failures by the World, which prunes them from the main timeline.
