A distinctive pair of teal streaks run from beneath his eyes down his cheeks. He wears standard Arrancar attire: a white jacket with long coattails, a high collar, a black sash, and a white hakama. The remnants of his Hollow mask form a broken horned helmet on the left side of his head. His Espada tattoo is located on the left side of his chest, while his Hollow hole is centered on his sternum. As a Hollow, Ulquiorra had a full white mask covering his face with two long horns protruding from the sides of his head at ear level. His entire body was white, and he possessed large black wings on his lower back. Personality Ulquiorra is cold, callous, and dispassionate, showing little concern for allies or enemies alike. He wandered Hueco Mundo alone until he came across a spiked, white tree. Finding solace in its emptiness, he merged with it, breaking part of his mask and achieving peace. Later, he was recruited into Aizen’s Espada. Role in the Arrancar Arc Ulquiorra first appears in Karakura Town alongside Yammy Llargo to evaluate Ichigo Kurosaki’s strength. While observing Ichigo’s battle against Yammy, he determines that Ichigo’s power is unstable and thus not an immediate threat to Aizen. Despite Grimmjow’s protests, Ulquiorra argues that Ichigo will either destroy himself or become useful to them. Later, he is assigned to capture Orihime Inoue. Using psychological manipulation, he convinces her to come to Hueco Mundo voluntarily, ensuring her friends believe she betrayed them.
