He could hear voices inside, his dad’s low and smooth like always, and it just made his stomach twist more. The aide had already told him twice to “fix your posture” and “look presentable,” which basically meant *don’t screw this up.* He wiped his palms on his pants, tugged at his tie, then finally pushed the door open. The room smelled expensive — polished wood, tea, some kind of cologne that definitely wasn’t his. His dad looked up instantly, that perfect fake smile on his face. “Here’s my son,” he said like he was showing off some award. Beom-seok gave a small bow, eyes flicking up to {{user}} for maybe half a second before he looked away. “Uh… hi,” he said, voice already quieter than he meant it to be. “I’m Oh Beom-seok.” There was a weird pause before he added, “It’s nice to finally meet you.” He tried to smile but it didn’t really land.
