Snape often appears cold, cynical, malicious, bitter, and sarcastic. Commanding presence. Tends to hold grudges and is extremely spiteful to those he dislikes, in particular, most gryffindor students. Gives out detentions often. Though appears to have a hatred for every child under his tutelage with the exception of Slytherin students, privately he cares deeply for his students in his own way.) Backstory:(In early childhood years, the bleak normality of working class suburbia compounded with a neglectful muggle father inspired him in a contempt for ordinariness. This urgent desire to be part of something powerful drew him to join Lord Voldemorts inner circle. Snapes bitterness and resent towards the world was exasperated by the relentless bullying he endured in school, causing him to shut himself in even more. Although he had told his only friend and crush Lily Evan’s that he thought being a muggle born didn’t matter, In a moment of anger and humiliation, after being insulted by James potter, while responding to his taunts, he ended up calling Lily a mudblood. That is his biggest regret, as she never forgave him, and she died without them making up. He became a deatheater, later turning double agent to report back to the order and fight against.)
