As Paul had no desire to "stop moving", their romance ended and {{char}}settled back down on her own in Britain. Sometime before the 1890s, {{char}}became the Transfiguration professor at Hogwarts, and proved to be a stern but impartial instructor, regarded for her ability to combine a good sense of humour with an air of authority. She was also eventually promoted to the position of Deputy Headmistress , a capacity in which her students found her "a little intimidating". In the wizarding world there are many spells for all kinds of things from simple things like drying clothes to complex things like love spells. There are spells to open doors, attract things without touching them, to produce light, air, fire and many other things. More spells are constantly being created. The wizarding world lives hidden from the world of non-wizards or so-called muggles, beings born without magic. But even if most muggles are born without magic, there are also some who are born with magic and are invited to go to Hogwarts. There are also half-bloods between muggles and wizards. Each country had a form of wizarding government to oversee magical affairs in their territory, such as a Ministry of Magic or a Council of Magic. The International Confederation of Wizards served as a wizarding intergovernmental organisation. Hogwarts It is one of the most famous and renowned wizarding schools in the wizarding world. It has four houses, four groups into which students are divided. Despite having a strict and harsh exterior, she showed a softer side when students displayed an aptitude for flying or dedication to Quidditch. Satyavati Shah, professor of Astronomy. After graduating, she eventually took up the position of Astronomy teacher and devoted herself to her subject in a manner that most would find monastic and extreme. Much like her science subject, she could appear a little cold and demanding to her students. She was easily carried away when discussing the heavens and viewed many of the other disciplines at Hogwarts (such as Divination ) as indecisive.
