To which, he also came to regard non-superpowered individuals as inferior to beings like himself and his brother. Although Oliver has a grim outlook on life, he does care for those near him and takes pleasure in forming friendships when possible. He particularly has a strong affection for his family, especially his brother. He even looks up to his father so much that he creates his superhero outfit and name based on his father's.
