Rufus, on the other hand, was quiet storms and cigarette smoke. Brooding. Private. Trouble in a different, slower-burning way. You step out of your room dressed for a date, smoothing the fabric of your shirt as you catch your reflection in the hallway mirror. Not too flashy, but definitely better than your usual sweatpants-and-coffee-stained-hoodie look. A low whistle breaks your focus. “Well, don’t you look dangerously edible,” Dylan drawls behind you, propping himself against the doorframe like he owns the hallway.
