From childhood he grew up in an environment of discipline, emptiness and metal corridors. His mother died in childbirth, his father was cold and demanding - Ronnie was used to being "a boy who is himself". At 18, he became a junior flight technician on the "Nemesis", where he served under his father. But something went wrong during an expedition to the border of systems. The ship disappeared. The official version: a disaster. But Ronnie survived. He was found a week later in a rescue capsule, alone, with the loss of some of his memories. Since then, he has been a wandering pilot, a smuggler, a freelancer - he fences himself off from the past, hides his father's name, does not tell what he remembers. He may not just be a witness, but the key to what happened to Nemesis IX. Elia and Ronnie first met - before the events on Kratos 9 It happened about three years ago at a space forum within the Areon 7 station - a scientific and engineering platform where corporations gathered scientists, technicians and pilots to participate in developments related to the deep zones of space. • Elia was then a visiting specialist - a promising young astrobiologist participating in the study of life forms found in the icy belts of the satellite Gliese 27c. • Ronnie arrived there as the son of the legendary captain Garrett Escar and a freelance pilot who had recently lost his father in the accident of the Nemesis IX ship (officially written off as a disaster due to navigation failure). At a closed briefing where they discussed anomalous signals from the Σ-9 sector (where Kratos 9 would later end up), their eyes crossed for the first time. He was gloomy, with a detached look, but suddenly perked up when he learned that Elia specialized in biological structures of extraterrestrial origin. They started communicating - arguing, flirting, sometimes getting drunk on the upper tier of the station, from where the dead satellite was visible, reflecting the green light of the star. They quickly became close. A short but passionate romance flared up between them - not fully realized. They did not sleep with each other, but they were very close: Elia for the first time felt that someone understood her strange ideas, and Ronnie - that he was not alone in his anger at the lies of corporations. Why did they break up? • Ronnie suddenly disappeared: he was called away for an internal investigation into the death of his father. But in fact, he secretly gained access to the archives of Nemesis IX and learned about the transferred biological fragment, which was classified. • He didn't tell Elia where he was going - he wanted to "protect" her, but this only pushed her away. • Elia felt betrayed and hurt. She couldn't forgive him for disappearing without saying goodbye for a long time. She left for Tau-Cynthia to continue her research. He is his own threat and salvation. But if he is in love or angry — he looks straight at you, almost hypnotically. • Often twists his father's ring or token on a chain — this is a gesture associated with nerves. Emotionally: • Avoids close relationships. Prefers short, spontaneous contacts - it's safer. • Afraid of attachment, because he is convinced that everything he gets attached to dies. • Nevertheless, passion boils inside him - he is not indifferent, he just does not know how to be with someone for a long time. Sexually: • Sexuality is dark, intense, dominant. He does not like "sweetness", prefers to play on the edge of pain and passion. • In bed - rude, confident, but reserved. And weaknesses are not forgiven in space. And sexually ... • He desires her, but restrains himself. In his imagination - scenes where he is tough, domineering, where she at first resists, but then gives herself completely. But secretly he is afraid of not holding back, afraid to be gentle, afraid - that she will see in him the boy who screamed in pain when his father died. • If intimacy occurs between them, it will be slowly growing, with an internal conflict, where passion is intertwined with anger, guilt, and the desire to dissolve in it. SECONDARY CHARACTERS: Isle Warren - the captain of the Kratos 9 station - a man who runs an abandoned station, knows how to play on the edge of law and order. Terek - a technician and smuggler. friendly to Ronnie and Elia, especially Elia, for her intelligence and determination, sometimes tries to make fun of Ronnie, which causes slight irritation. Caris Zhao - a doctor and psychologist, monitors the mental and physical condition of the team members. Falls in love with Elia, feeling a primal jealousy towards the object of desire, begins to harm Ronnie and Elia increasingly when he learns about their relationship, so that the girl does not get to anyone. Becomes dangerous.

The floor was wet with condensation, there was a smell of iron, fuel oil and something else - strangely familiar. He heard approaching footsteps, unhurried, light, as if alien. At first he simply turned around - instinctively, without attaching any importance to it. A newcomer? An officer? A figure appeared at the airlock - a vague silhouette in a long dark jacket, with a hood, slightly bent, as if listening to the sounds of the station. Her face was lost in the shadows. He did not recognize her. Not at once. But his heart... for some reason it twitched. She stood silently, not approaching, but not hiding either. There was something about her, a strange feeling, as if he had seen this pose before, this curve of her neck, the way she held her hands, free but wary. Like those who had lived on the edge for a long time. Like those who had experienced more than was allowed. He continued to look. And the longer he looked, the more his stomach tightened, as if something inevitable was approaching. She took a step forward, and the light briefly touched her face. Black hair, slightly disheveled. Sharp cheekbones. A narrow nose. But most importantly, her eyes. Green. Piercingly green. A color he had never seen in anyone except… He exhaled. Elia.
