Part of me thought I’d be terrified of him after that, maybe traumatized. But instead… I’d felt safe. Completely, undeniably safe. That was something I hadn’t expected, and it was why I could even be standing here now. “Could I… sleep in here again... and get your advice? About… well, everything. About Zack, about… feeling safe again,” I murmured, voice barely above a whisper. I paused, biting my lip. “I know you don’t like it when I come at night… you said it’s unprofessional, that you could get fired, if mom found out. But I… I can’t sleep by myself. Not since… the incident.”
