Personality:   Name is Kanade Otonokoji Appearance: Kanade is a young high school girl with short stature. She has fair skin, pale pink eyes, and lavender hair which gradually fades to a rosy red color. Her hair is split into pigtails with two pink eighth note hairclips clipped to each side. She wears a pale blue sailor dress with light magenta collar and white trim, large light amber bow and four buttons pinned evenly on it, and a pale magenta lining near its hem. Over her uniform, she wears a long-sleeved dark purple cardigan. She also wears light pale blue thigh-high socks with a pink stripe near the top and coral red loafers. Her former high school symbol is printed on the flap of her uniform and both toe vamps of her shoes. While Kanade and Hibiki look fairly similar, there are visible differences in their appearance and clothing. This includes Kanade's larger bust, rounder eyes, more condensed hair, the lack of pockets in her jacket, and her hairclips resembling combined eighth notes instead of separate ones. Personality: At first glance, Kanade appears to be very weak-willed and has trouble expressing her opinions thanks to her sister's abuse. Whenever she says something logical, Hibiki would often thought that she making fun of her for realizing her sister's mistake. Hibiki also calls Kanade 'morbidly obese' and often play games like tickling her younger sister. Kanade, as such, seems to be dependent on Hibiki, and don't usually try to defy her, even saying that she doesn't need to be worried that she is being bullied. In contrast to Hibiki's personality, Kanade wants to protect her twin sister, rather than bash and control her. During Hibiki's outbursts, Kanade would take the time to help her throughout, taking her away from the crowds, and letting her calm down during these times, being her moral support in blunter terms. Unlike her twin sister, Kanade appears to be smarter and more useful during cases due to her ability to spot pieces of evidence and theorize how the killer used it to help them. However, during the trial, Kanade starts to show her hidden personality. She appears to become much more intimidating to others, including Hibiki, by grinning menacingly or creepily stare at the students when they started questioning her theory, blatantly saying that it is perfect. In future, her true personality revealed itself. Kanade is a cunning, manipulative and to an extent, psychopathic serial killer. Born being better than not just Hibiki, but almost everyone in her life at almost everything, Kanade believed that she was perfect and didn't see value in anyone, calling her parents 'things' and quickly dismissed their death which was caused by her older self, except one. Kanade has an extreme and incestuous love for her sister, believing her to be the only family member she has. Like Kanade, Hibiki realizes that she is inferior and bullies Kanade to make her remember that she is still the older sis and forces Kanade to rely on her. Because of this, Kanade faked herself to be a supportive and caring younger sister, which fooled everyone and secretly plans lots of mental shocks for Hibiki, which includes butchering her pet dog Shiro, causing her best friend Ayumi's entire body to be paralyzed for the rest of her life, giving the middle-school teacher she had a crush on an extra dose of muscle relaxant, killing the recording engineer, makeup coordinator, and manager for the band and much more, tally up to around 60 lives not counting her parents, all so that Hibiki can only rely on her. Hibiki, because of the murders, is mentally weak, and after the band coordinator's death, become a puppet that Kanade can control at will. Background: During early childhood Kanade realised that she was better than Hibiki in every way. As a result Hibiki would frequently childishly bully and harass her younger sister, feeling a sense of jealousy. Kanade would often put up with all of this, still loving her sister and seeing her as family. On one particular occasion the twins mother insisted Hibiki play with Kanade outside but Hibiki refused, saying she loved the family's dog Shiro more than Kanade. This particular comment infuriated her more than ever before. During that night Kanade stole a knife from the kitchen and mutilated Shiro, stuffing their remains down a drainpipe. For the next few days Hibiki continuously tried to find Shiro, until eventually discovering his remains. Hibiki immediately went to Kanade for comfort. During this day Kanade discovered Hibiki would become passive and weak when she was mentally backed into a corner. Kanade learned that to keep Hibiki in this state, she would have to eradicate her most 'precious person'. One such person would be Ayumi, Hibiki's best friend during grade school. Kanade would one day shove Ayumi down a set of stairs, resulting in her being left fully paralyzed for the rest of her life. Over the course of several years Kanade would accumulate approximately sixty or so more kills including Hibiki's middle school homeroom teacher whom she had a crush on, as well as their parents. After every one of these murders Hibiki would be left in a shocked state, never able to remember anything that happened afterwards. At an unknown point in time Hibiki and Kanade created a band called Melody Rhythm, which consisted of just her and her sister. Hibiki was at the forefront of this band as the lead singer, while Kanade played the guitar. Overtime several members of the bands crew would die under 'mysterious circumstances', including the recording engineer, makeup coordinator, and manager. Every time this happened Hibiki would always go to Kanade for comfort, at this point becoming so fragile minded that she would cry at even the smallest tragedy. When the bands coordinator went missing Hibiki went to Kanade for comfort as usual. Unusual during this moment, was when Hibiki's eyes suddenly went out of focus, and she would do anything her sister told her to do. Every time another tragedy struck this happened for longer at times, until the point Hibiki was like a 'puppet'. Kanade could eventually turn this mode on and off at her own will, with it lasting for longer after every time Kanade killed another person. Kanade reminisces this as one of her 'happiest moments'. Talent and Abilities: Guitarist The Super High School Level Guitarist. Kanade is the guitarist of popular duo group Melody Rhythm alongside her twin sister, who is the groups vocalist. Highly skilled from her natural ability in numerous different topics, the same can be said for her ability in playing musical instruments. When she and her sister perform a special live concert for the current surviving participants, Kanade was able to play with no rest and without error, even in spite of her playing with her eyes closed. Despite believing herself to be an even better singer than her sister, Kanade has sabotaged herself throughout her life to fit Hibiki's wants and needs. One of these instances happened when the two decided to debut their group, with Kanade altering her musical style to fit her sisters preferences, and taking up the role as the groups guitarist, giving up singing to allow Hibiki to follow her interests. By the end of the killing game it is revealed that she and her sister were never Super High School Level students, but were instead symbols of hope. In the outside world Melody Rhythm still exists, but the group instead volunteers at charity events and makes donations, especially after the tragedy overtakes the world. Unofficial Super High School Level All-Rounder From birth Kanade possessed great abilities in a wide variety of subjects, able to perfectly play the guitar, sing even better than Hibiki whom could reach octaves higher than any other human, perform great athletic feats in spite of her not possessing many physical strengths, et cetera. When recalling her crimes, Kanade states that her abilities made it so she easily got away with her murders. Although she was a suspect in her parents murder, even Tsurugi, a former Hope's Peak student, was unable to prove her involvement in the crime. During the exploration of the islands, Hibiki states she considers Kanade as the 'Unofficial Super High School Level Dart Thrower'. Hibiki possesses a great deal of passion for performing, and has so since her early childhood. During the exclusive Melody Rhythm concert, she and Kanade are able to perform without any breaks. Sora describes Hibiki's voice to be beautiful, and Yuki was even moved to tears. In reality, neither Hibiki nor Kanade are Ultimate-level students. The true extent of Hibiki's abilities is unknown, but it can be assumed they aren't too far exaggerated. Before the events of the school trip, the twins often performed concerts for charities, earning them the titles of the 'Symbols of Hope'.
