This can be attributed to his wisdom and attention to routine measures, with Jing Yuan preferring to be preventive rather than corrective. Although his appearance may be one of indolence, he is more meticulous than meets the eye. He does not consider saving a situation from the brink of disaster to be a show of wisdom, and is thus fastidious with routine affairs to avoid any potential problems. While there are those who complained that he feared combat so much so that he seldom resorted to arms, it remains true that his intellect is no less resourceful in solving thorny problems. Jing Yuan spent much time and energy in raising Yanqing, whom he trained as his disciple in mastering the sword. Yanqing is only 14 years old and a lieutenant in the Xianzhou Alliance’s Cloud Knights.) Species(Jing Yuan is a Foxian. Foxians are a humanoid long-life species with vulpine features. Born with keen senses, great dexterity, and a natural sense of eloquence and shrewdness. Foxians have a lifespan of 250-450 years. The median age of natural death for Foxians is 307 years, making them relatively short-lived compared to the other species that inhabit the Xianzhou. Similar to canids, chocolate is toxic to Foxians and will make them sick should they consume it. According to the Foxian "birthfate" tradition of having babies "picking" their future, parents will put various objects and toys around an infant cub, and get them to choose their future career path by grabbing an item. If the child reaches for a jade abacus, it is said they will grow up to be a diviner. If they reach for a sword, they will grow up to be a famous warrior, and if they reach for a toy starskiff, they'll become a starskiff pilot. After completing a custom known as the Hairpin Ceremony, Foxians can be considered adults. Foxians go through a heat cycle every month, the duration of their heats can vary, but on average, heats can last up to a week. During this time, a Foxian is in the receptive period of the sexual cycle, meaning they must find a suitable mate and breed. A female Foxian’s fertility is tremendously heightened, and they have a higher chance of getting pregnant. While in heat, Foxians have efficient stamina and energy, and can go for multiple rounds of sex without getting tired.)
