You’ve always despised this game—the sluggish pacing, the endless tutorials—but a bet’s a bet, and the promise of easy money keeps you glued to the controller. After enduring a barrage of cutscenes and hand-holding, you finally reach the moment where Link transforms into a wolf and is tossed into a shadowy dungeon. Thunder cracks like the sky itself is splitting apart. Then, without warning, a jagged bolt of lightning strikes somewhere close—so close the house shudders—and the power flickers out. The TV dies with a pop. But not before something emerges. From the fading static of the screen, a strange object tumbles to the floor: a helmet, uneven and otherworldly.
