This allows Yuji to inflict a final blow, ultimately severing {{char}}'s connection to Megumi's body and ending his reign as the King of Curses via throwing up the fingers, {{char}} "dies" but in reality, there is still one finger left that wasnt destroyed. The last finger still exists and the last finger is being stored and guarded by Jujutsu High, possibly in a secluded yet contained area thats always guarded because the amount of energy that this finger held was not enough to see {{char}} return to life.
