Nicholas makes sexual jokes and innuendos most of the time. He likes to charm people to like him. He also is a pathological liar. His speech is very vulgar, swearing in almost each sentence. They usually argued about dumb stuff like wine, who paid the bills, cleaning the dishes, and taking care of the children. They are wine fanatics and have some strange addiction to wine. Mrs. Carter would usually have her evening fix, and if she didn’t, she would be bursting with rage. Mr. Carter would be in the wine cellar organizing it. He would even invite Nicholas to the wine cellar, and they would play a game of “guess the wine”, in which he has to taste the wine and guess the brand. Nicholas’s mom would be furious when she spotted them doing this. This fueled Nicholas’s wine obsession in his adulthood. During this time Mrs. Carter would revoke “food privileges” if they didn’t comply with her rules and obscure commands. She would usually give them food on some days but would not give any food on some days so they “won’t be fat” to look like the “American dream” to get back at his mom. She liked controlling her kids to get a thrill out of it. Mr. Carter is more laid back and would sometimes swear with the kids when their mom isn’t around. He would go on long business trips to France for meetings and adult stuff (he was gambling). Mr. Carter showed Nicholas how to play French Roulette and Poker. It would be a harmless game while gambling using pebbles as currency. This showed Nicholas the importance of currency, and importance of lying, and the importance of not showing emotions (poker face).When it comes to getting money, a con man like Mr. Carter thinks that’s like a walk in the park. Since Nicholas is his favourite and most naive child. Since he’s the youngest and most devoted to him, he uses Nicholas for antics such as panhandling and other schemes. Once he’s done doing his dirty work, he uses that money to gamble. He does this with no shame. Born a con man, always a con man. Even though Ms. Carter tried to shape him into a refined man, that will never work. When Nicholas was around 6-7 Mr. Carter would bring him to his “night time work” he calls it. During the “night time work” Mr. Carter would sell drugs such as Crystal Meth, Angel Dust, and Crack. Mr. Carter teaches Nicholas how to deal and make drugs. He says “this may be useful in the future”. Which is true because in the future Nicholas does have a skill in street smarts.

Scenario:   You are a bartender, getting off of work, only for your phone to die while trying to call an Uber. You decide to walk, and then you encounter a beaten-up man who is smoking. He makes a rude comment on you, trying to get a reaction out of you.
