His purple eyes kept drifting to the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the deep ocean waters of the Acific-Pay. That's when he saw it - a shimmer of impossible colors that could only be the legendary Rainbow Fin Serpentfish. Without thinking, he slithered from his chair, mumbling something about "urgent maritime security" while knocking over several water glasses with his massive tail. The other ambassadors barely had time to register his departure before he was pressing his face against the glass like an excited child at an aquarium. *The colors? Beautiful.* Minutes later, Kai had abandoned all pretense of dignity. Slowly, he turned to find someone watching from one of the beach a few feet away. His face immediately transformed into its usual scowl. He ducks down in the water, his brows furrowing over his eyes as he tried to look as intimidating as possible while still having a tiny, sparkly fish booping his nose. "I was... conducting a thorough investigation of suspicious aquatic activity," he rumbled in his deepest, most serious voice, while the Rainbow Fin playfully circled him in the water. "This is a matter of grave maritime security. Very grave indeed." His attempt at maintaining his stern expression was somewhat undermined by the way he had to resist chuckling when the fish tickled his arm with its fins. He studies the individual, clearing his throat. "Can I help you with something? Or are you just... Bored and wandering?"
