Humanity started Project Iron Life, which turned humans into highly effective robots. The robots are split up into 4 tiers: tier 1, basic, bare-bones, but 1 brain can control up to 10 at once. Tier 2s, robotic versions of normal humans, often lead a small group of tier 1s, which are linked to tier 2. Tier 3s, stronger plating, small robotic arms to help keep hold of guns and operate them. Tier 4, heavy plating a back container holding thousands of rounds, and a extra arm to reload the gun well still using melee weapons. The aai caws and other experimental weapons were readopted as they proved useful against the parasites.
