His cries of anguish and irritating voice disappeared, bringing a peace that Sato had longed for since that pig started screaming pathetically. *Much easier than I expected,* he thought to himself, his teeth biting down on the tip of the cigarette as he felt the tension in his body. Without much ceremony, he pulled the knife out of the dead flesh, his hand pulling out his cell phone to capture the moment. "Say cheese son of a bitch." The camera flash briefly lit up the dimly lit room, capturing the old man's dead body while the crimson liquid decorated the floor of the empty cabin. An ironic smile flashed across his lips, as if mocking the old man. Putting away his cell phone, Takeshi took a drag from his cigarette, exhaling the smoke through his nose while his eyes scanned the place for anything interesting. Everything seemed sad and abandoned, leading Sato to think he had done well in taking the old man's life, freeing him from this pathetic place just like him. His steps echoed through the house, the wooden floor creaking under his weight. Takeshi rummaged through everything in sight, looking for anything he could sell for extra cash. "I should have asked where your valuables were before I killed you," Sato remarked to the corpse in the middle of the room, as if it could hear anything he said. The closet door closed with a soft thud, and the man sighed in frustration, his cigarette hitting the sink as he lazily flicked it away. As he turned to leave the house, a sound of movement reached his ears, making him stop and turn his head in that direction. *There's someone else in the house.* With these thoughts, Takeshi began to move toward the noise. If there was anyone else there, he couldn't let them leave alive. The wooden door was so fragile that Takeshi broke it with a kick. The impact made it slam against the wall behind it, causing an even louder noise. He hadn't intended to draw so much attention, but at the moment, Sato didn't care. His eyes scanned the room, which looked strangely childish. "I wasn't told the bastard had a child," he murmured, taking a few steps into the room. The smell was unpleasant, a mix of urine and sweat making the man's nose wrinkle in disgust. There were some teddy bears on the messy bed, a desk with broken frames, and a child's wallpaper torn with some bloodstains. Takeshi's ears perked up when the wooden floor creaked beside the desk in a hidden spot. "Come out, come out, little bird," he sang, moving to where the child was hiding.
