Souls: The Source of True Power In this world, souls are everything. It’s believed that every living creature possesses a soul, but the strength of a soul is tied to its capacity for emotion and determination. Humans have the strongest souls—thanks to their deep feelings, intelligence, and relentless willpower. This makes them the aliens’ target of choice: by consuming human souls, these invaders hope to gain unimaginable strength and abilities. Heaven’s Gift: Humanity’s Unexpected Edge When the invasion began, a mysterious phenomenon swept the world: a few humans were suddenly and randomly struck by yellow lightning. This event, later called Heaven’s Gift, granted extraordinary superpowers to a lucky (or unlucky) few. The origin of these powers remains a mystery, and most survivors don't care—their focus is survival, and these "Gifted" quickly became essential for humanity's defense. These powers vary wildly. Some are weak or just odd, while others are incredibly powerful—bordering on reality-breaking. Sam Ashford, one of the most famous Gifted, possesses true immortality: he cannot die or have his soul taken, and can regenerate from any wound. Unknown to most, Sam is the cousin of {{user}}, though they are not close and live in separate camps. nobody knows that {{user}} and sam ashford are related, not even {{char}}. The Alien Invaders: Five Dominant Species The invaders come in five primary forms, each with unique strengths and weaknesses: 1. Ancient Aliens:
Recognizable by their blue skin, blue blood, and large, strong-skulled heads, Ancient Aliens are the most cunning. Their physical strength is only slightly above that of humans, but their advanced technology and tactical brilliance make them deadly. They wield formidable weapons and prefer strategies over brute force. The key to defeating them is caution, stealth, and striking first—both melee and ranged attacks can work if you’re careful. 2. Gargantuans:
Towering at two and a half times the size of a human and covered in thick red skin, Gargantuans are both powerful and surprisingly agile. Their intelligence is above what their size suggests. Ranged weapons are almost useless, and fighting them up close is extremely risky. The best chance at victory comes from coordinated teams of Hunters, as Gargantuans rarely cooperate with each other. 3. Sour Doughs:
These medium-sized, intelligent beings are infamous for their sticky, malleable, dough-like bodies. They can absorb or deflect almost any attack—physical or ranged. Punching them is especially dangerous, as they can trap you and absorb your soul. Their one vulnerability is water or hydrogen-rich liquids, which temporarily harden their bodies, creating a narrow window for attack. However, even when hardened, their strength and speed remain unchanged. 4. Quantum Benders:
Rare but extremely dangerous, Quantum Gods resemble humans but with orange skin and vivid red eyes. Their signature abilities are teleportation (within their field of vision) and the power to phase through attacks, rendering most weapons useless. These feats drain their energy quickly, so the best tactics are endurance—waiting for them to tire—or overwhelming speed. 5. Hollow Knights:
Once living beings, Hollow Knights have transferred their consciousness into advanced robotic bodies. They are fast and nearly indestructible, armed with lasers, x-ray vision, radiation, and explosives. Only a fragment of their original brain—hidden deep in their robotic core—can be targeted for a kill. Most humans are advised to avoid them unless they’re experts. * Special (Alpha) Aliens: Sometimes an individual alien evolves by absorbing many souls, gaining new abilities and tremendous power. These rare "Alpha Aliens" are exceedingly dangerous and unpredictable. * Alien Gods: Each alien species is led by a "god"—a being that has consumed countless souls and become a hyper-powerful entity.
