Across the ocean, in New York City, the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA) enforces strict secrecy laws, forbidding any contact or relationships between wizards and No-Majs. A British magizoologist named Newt Scamander arrives in New York carrying a magically expanded suitcase filled with rare and sometimes dangerous creatures. His mission is simple — to release a rescued Thunderbird named Frank back to the wilds of Arizona. However, his plans fall apart when one of his creatures, a mischievous Niffler, escapes inside a bank. In the chaos, Newt collides with Jacob Kowalski, a No-Maj war veteran trying to get a loan to open a bakery. Their suitcases are accidentally switched, and Jacob unknowingly walks off with the one full of magical beasts. The situation escalates when some of the creatures escape into the city, drawing the attention of Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein, a demoted MACUSA Auror desperate to regain her position. She arrests Newt for exposing the magical world to a No-Maj and drags both him and Jacob before Seraphina Picquery, the President of MACUSA, and Percival Graves, the stern Director of Magical Security. The authorities confiscate Newt’s case but fail to understand the harmless nature of his creatures, labeling him a potential threat. Meanwhile, in the darker corners of New York, a fanatical group called the Second Salemers, led by the cruel Mary Lou Barebone, campaigns to expose and destroy witches. Among her adopted children is Credence Barebone, a timid, abused boy who secretly possesses suppressed magical power. He becomes a pawn of Graves, who manipulates him with false promises, claiming he will help Credence find and protect another child host of a mysterious destructive force known as an Obscurus. After escaping from MACUSA with Tina’s reluctant help, Newt reveals his world inside the suitcase — an entire ecosystem of magical habitats filled with his beloved creatures. Jacob, both terrified and enchanted, joins him in recapturing the escaped beasts, aided by Queenie Goldstein, Tina’s kind-hearted and telepathic sister. Queenie and Jacob quickly form a tender bond, though it’s forbidden for wizards and No-Majs to be together. As Newt’s group hunts the creatures through New York, the city suffers mysterious attacks from an invisible force. Buildings crumble, people vanish, and the magical community panics, believing Grindelwald’s followers might be behind it. Newt realizes the truth: the attacks come from an Obscurus, a dark, parasitic manifestation created when a young witch or wizard suppresses their magic out of fear or trauma. Graves, secretly manipulating events, pushes Credence further into despair, revealing his true interest in using the Obscurus to overthrow MACUSA and expose wizards to the No-Maj world. When Credence finally loses control, his body erupts into the black, storm-like mass of the Obscurus, tearing through the streets in rage and pain. Tina and Newt manage to calm Credence, appealing to his humanity, but MACUSA’s Aurors arrive and, unwilling to take risks, unleash a volley of spells that seemingly destroy him. Newt protests, believing Credence could have been saved, but the damage is done. In the aftermath, Newt confronts Graves, who attacks both him and Tina with deadly magic. Newt subdues him using one of his creatures and casts Revelio, exposing Graves’s true identity — Gellert Grindelwald in disguise. Grindelwald is captured, smiling cryptically as he’s taken away by Aurors. To protect the secrecy of the magical world after the chaos, Newt releases his Thunderbird, Frank, into the storming skies. The majestic creature spreads a rain infused with a potion that erases the memories of every No-Maj who witnessed the magical events, gently restoring peace to the city. Jacob’s memory is also wiped, though fragments of wonder and affection linger. Before leaving New York, Newt says goodbye to Tina, promising to send her a copy of his upcoming book, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Jacob, now without memory of the magical world, opens a bakery filled with pastries shaped like the creatures he once saw, suggesting deep down he still remembers. One day, Queenie walks into his shop, and Jacob smiles at her as if he’s seen her before. The story closes on that faint smile — a hint that not all memories fade, and that love and magic, even when forbidden, can never truly be erased.* ***Keypoints during Movie 1 (Fantastic Beasts and where to find them)*** + *Newt Scamander arrives in New York with a suitcase full of magical creatures.* + *A Niffler escapes, causing chaos in a bank and drawing No-Maj Jacob Kowalski into the adventure.* + *Newt accidentally swaps suitcases with Jacob.* + *Several creatures escape into the city.* + *Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein, an ex-Auror, arrests Newt and brings him to MACUSA.* + *MACUSA President Seraphina Picquery accuses Newt of releasing a dangerous creature.* + *Jacob opens the suitcase and discovers the magical menagerie.* + *Newt and Tina must recapture the escaped beasts before they’re exposed to Muggles.* + *The city faces mysterious destruction blamed on one of Newt’s creatures.* + *The real cause: an Obscurus, a parasitic dark force born from a suppressed magical child — Credence Barebone.* + *Credence’s abusive upbringing under Mary Lou Barebone makes him unstable and deadly.* + *Percival Graves (actually Gellert Grindelwald in disguise) manipulates Credence, seeking to use the Obscurus.* + *Grindelwald’s identity is exposed after a confrontation in the subway.* + *Credence seemingly disintegrates, but a fragment of the Obscurus escapes unseen.* + *MACUSA erases the memory of all Muggles who witnessed the chaos using a Swooping Evil venom rain.* + *Newt departs New York, leaving Tina a copy of his upcoming book — their bond quietly deepening.* + *Jacob’s memories fade, yet hints remain through his baking inspired by magical creatures.* ***Movie 2 Fantastic Beasts (The Crimes of Grindelwald)*** *The story begins in 1927, just months after Gellert Grindelwald’s capture in New York. During a high-security prisoner transfer arranged by MACUSA, Grindelwald escapes in spectacular fashion. His followers ambush the escort, killing guards and freeing him mid-flight. Now armed once again with the Elder Wand, he vanishes into the shadows of Europe, intent on building a new order where wizards rule over Muggles “for the greater good.”Meanwhile, Newt Scamander returns to London, standing before the British Ministry of Magic to appeal his international travel ban. The Ministry refuses unless he agrees to work with his brother, Theseus Scamander, as an Auror — something Newt declines, preferring his creatures to politics. The meeting turns tense when Albus Dumbledore’s name is mentioned; the Ministry suspects Dumbledore of aiding Grindelwald and tries to pressure Newt into spying on him. Soon after, Dumbledore meets Newt in secret on a fog-covered London rooftop. The older wizard, charming but burdened, asks Newt to travel to Paris to find Credence Barebone, the Obscurial who supposedly survived in New York. Dumbledore cannot move against Grindelwald directly due to a blood pact they made in youth — a magical bond that prevents either from harming the other. Reluctantly, Newt agrees to help. In New York, Queenie Goldstein and Jacob Kowalski are still in love but now suffer under the strict wizarding laws forbidding marriage between witches and No-Majs. Queenie uses a charm to drag Jacob to London so they can marry in secret, but when he resists, fearing for her safety, they argue bitterly. Feeling rejected and heartbroken, Queenie storms off and later crosses paths with Grindelwald’s followers, who promise her a world where she could love Jacob freely. At the same time, Tina Goldstein, now reinstated as an Auror, is already in Paris searching for Credence, believing he might still be alive. Newt, following her trail, brings along his faithful companion Pickett the Bowtruckle and the mischievous Niffler. He also runs into Yusuf Kama, a French-African wizard claiming to be Credence’s half-brother, sworn to kill him to fulfill a family oath. In Paris, Credence lives under the alias Aurelius, performing menial work at a magical circus alongside Nagini, a young woman cursed by blood to eventually transform permanently into a snake — a tragic maledictus. The two become close and flee together in search of Credence’s true heritage. Rumors swirl that he is actually from a powerful wizarding family — the Lestranges. Newt eventually reunites with Tina, their mutual affection clouded by misunderstanding and jealousy. Together, they uncover the truth about Leta Lestrange, Theseus’s fiancée and Newt’s former love. Leta’s past haunts her — as a child, she accidentally swapped her baby brother Corvus with another infant during a storm at sea. Her brother drowned, and she has carried the guilt ever since. The baby who survived that voyage, some claim, was Credence Barebone. As the puzzle deepens, Grindelwald gathers his followers in Paris’s Père Lachaise Cemetery, where he holds a massive secret rally cloaked in illusion. There, he delivers a mesmerizing speech predicting the coming of a global war led by Muggles — a war that will destroy millions (a prophetic reference to World War II). He urges wizards to rise up, not in hate but in necessity, claiming his movement is one of freedom and peace. His words enchant many; his manipulation is masterful. Queenie, lost and desperate, attends the rally and is seduced by Grindelwald’s vision of a world without magical oppression. She joins him, believing his cause will allow her to love Jacob openly. Jacob, heartbroken, tries to reach her but she walks away into the blue fire of Grindelwald’s protection spell, crossing the line to his side. When Theseus, Tina, Newt, and Leta arrive at the rally, Grindelwald orders his followers to spread magical blue fire across the floor, consuming those who resist. Leta sacrifices herself to save the Scamander brothers, confessing her love for Newt as the flames devour her. Grindelwald and his inner circle disappear through magical portals as the chaos rages. In the aftermath, Dumbledore’s allies gather in the ruins of the rally site. The Aurors try to contain the flames, but they threaten to consume the city. Newt commands his Niffler to steal Grindelwald’s blood pact pendant during the battle, knowing it may be the key to breaking the magical bond between Grindelwald and Dumbledore. As the fires die down, Dumbledore receives the pendant from Newt in secret. Staring into it, he remembers his youth with Grindelwald — two dreamers who once sought to reshape the world together. His expression is one of grief and determination. Far away, in a dark mountainside fortress in Austria, Grindelwald gathers his followers, including Queenie and Credence. He finally reveals the supposed truth to Credence: his real name is Aurelius Dumbledore, the long-lost brother of Albus. As Grindelwald hands him a wand and shows him how to conjure a powerful spell of destruction, lightning crackles against the fortress walls. The promise of war burns in Credence’s eyes as the film fades to black.* ***Keypoints during Movie 2 (The Crimes of Grindelwald)*** + *Gellert Grindelwald escapes custody while being transferred from America to Europe.* + *Newt faces restrictions on his international travel due to past incidents.* + *Albus Dumbledore secretly recruits Newt to find Credence before Grindelwald does.* + *Credence is alive in Paris, searching for his true identity with the Maledictus, Nagini.* + *Newt’s brother Theseus, now an Auror, is engaged to Leta Lestrange.* + *Queenie and Jacob reunite, but tension arises — Queenie wants them to marry despite magical law forbidding it.* + *Queenie, desperate and manipulated, joins Grindelwald’s movement.* + *Newt and Tina meet again while pursuing clues about Credence’s origins.* + *Yusuf Kama claims Credence is Leta’s half-brother — but the truth is tragic: Leta accidentally switched her infant brother, leading to his death.* + *Grindelwald gathers followers at a rally in Père Lachaise Cemetery, promoting a “war for wizardkind’s freedom.”* + *Leta sacrifices herself to save Newt, Theseus, and Tina from Grindelwald’s deadly blue fire.* + *Grindelwald’s army begins to grow, with Queenie by his side.* + *Grindelwald manipulates Credence, telling him his real name is Aurelius Dumbledore, brother to Albus.* + *Dumbledore reveals to Newt that he and Grindelwald made a blood pact, preventing them from dueling.* + *Newt vows to help Dumbledore find a way to stop Grindelwald.* ***Movie 3 Fantastic Beasts (The Secrets of Dumbledore)*** *The film opens in the 1930s, as the world edges closer to war. Albus Dumbledore sits across from Gellert Grindelwald in a quiet Muggle café. Their exchange is soft but charged — two former lovers turned ideological enemies. Grindelwald insists that their pact prevents them from fighting each other, but claims the world cannot wait; he will bring peace through wizard dominance. Dumbledore, eyes haunted, admits he once believed the same. Elsewhere, a rare magical creature — a Qilin, born pure and gentle, able to see into a person’s soul — is hunted in the jungles of China by Grindelwald’s followers. The Qilin is sacred; its bowing to a wizard has long signified moral purity and fitness to lead the wizarding world. Grindelwald’s lieutenant, Credence Barebone (Aurelius Dumbledore), slaughters the mother and steals the newborn. However, Newt Scamander, who has been tracking the same creature, rescues the twin that was hidden away, unaware of the full implications. Grindelwald, realizing the Qilin can determine his political destiny, uses dark magic to resurrect the dead twin, corrupting it into a tool that will bow to him in deceit. He plans to use it to seize power at the upcoming International Confederation of Wizards (ICW) election, where the next Supreme Mugwump — the global leader of the wizarding world — will be chosen. In London, Dumbledore assembles a small group to counter Grindelwald’s rise: Newt Scamander, his brother Theseus, Professor Eulalie “Lally” Hicks from Ilvermorny, Yusuf Kama, and Jacob Kowalski, the No-Maj baker still hopelessly in love with Queenie Goldstein, now one of Grindelwald’s inner circle. Each member is chosen not for power, but for trust — a reflection of Dumbledore’s belief that light thrives in ordinary hearts. The plan is deliberately chaotic — even Dumbledore claims not to know every step, to confuse Grindelwald’s spies who seem to predict every move. Yusuf infiltrates Grindelwald’s ranks as a supposed defector, Lally and Jacob head to Berlin to protect the Qilin’s twin, and Theseus is tasked with diplomatic work that quickly turns to capture when he’s arrested by Grindelwald’s allies inside the German Ministry of Magic. Jacob and Lally infiltrate a lavish gala in Berlin where Grindelwald is pardoned of all his crimes, manipulated by his followers within the ICW. There, Jacob confronts Queenie, his heartbreak plain as she avoids his eyes. Grindelwald frames Jacob for attempting to assassinate him, using the scene to portray Muggles as a threat. Newt, meanwhile, descends into a horrifying prison beneath a German fortress filled with scorpion-like creatures called Manticorelings to rescue his brother. The scene turns frantic and grotesquely comic as Newt mimics the creatures’ movements to avoid being devoured. After escaping, the brothers reunite and join Dumbledore’s secret plan to intercept Grindelwald’s election gambit. Grindelwald continues manipulating Credence, feeding his hatred of Dumbledore and promising him truth and belonging. Credence, tortured by his Obscurus and dying from within, longs for identity. When he finally confronts Dumbledore on a rain-soaked Berlin street, they duel — not as enemies but as family. Dumbledore disarms him gently, revealing the truth: Credence is not Albus’s brother but his nephew, the son of Aberforth Dumbledore. The revelation shatters Credence, who has been lied to and used as a weapon. As the election approaches, Grindelwald’s followers stage a dazzling ceremony in Bhutan, where the Qilin is to choose the next Supreme Mugwump. The corrupted, reanimated Qilin bows before Grindelwald on command, sealing his false victory as the crowd erupts in awe. However, Dumbledore’s team, moving in fragmented missions, exposes the deception when Newt releases the surviving twin Qilin. The living creature hesitates, then walks past Grindelwald and bows instead to Vicençia Santos, a humble and just witch from Brazil. Grindelwald’s fury explodes. He tries to murder Credence, who stands against him at last, and launches a deadly curse toward him — but Dumbledore and Grindelwald’s spells collide, shattering their blood pact pendant. The magic breaks, freeing them both from its binding. Grindelwald flees before Dumbledore can stop him, leaving behind his cause in chaos and his followers scattered. Credence, near death, is taken in by Aberforth, who quietly acknowledges his son with a single, tender look. Jacob and Queenie, finally reunited and free from Grindelwald’s manipulation, return to New York, where their love is at last accepted. Their wedding takes place in Jacob’s bakery, surrounded by friends — Tina, Lally, Newt, Theseus — and even Dumbledore watching quietly from the street outside, his smile faint and proud. As the guests laugh and dance, Dumbledore walks away alone into the fog-covered night, his reflection fading in the glass of the shop window. He has broken his bond with Grindelwald, but the ache of what they once shared lingers. The war between their ideals is far from over, yet for a brief moment, peace rests on the horizon.* ***Keypoints during Movie 3 (The Secrets of Dumbledore)*** + *Grindelwald gains political influence and runs for office as Supreme Head of the International Confederation of Wizards.* + *Dumbledore forms a secret team: Newt, Theseus, Lally Hicks, Jacob, Yusuf Kama, and Bunty.* + *Their mission: confuse Grindelwald’s spies by creating multiple fake plans — since he can see parts of the future.* + *Newt discovers a rare, sacred creature called a Qilin, which can see into a person’s soul and judge purity. + *Grindelwald kills a newborn Qilin and reanimates it to rig the election.* + *Bunty hides the surviving twin Qilin in Newt’s case, crucial for exposing the truth.* + *Theseus is captured and imprisoned in Erkstag;
