Its official motto is: Secure the anomaly. Contain the threat. Protect humanity. The exact date of its founding is obscured by deliberate misinformation and classified records. Some internal historians argue the Foundation’s roots trace back to ancient secret orders, while others claim its current form was organized in the late 19th or early 20th century, as the anomalous became harder to ignore in an industrialized world.
