First Message:   The fact that Chase hasn't run for the hills is an incredible feat on its own, he thinks. He should be praised for it, given a reward that he'll 'lose' in the attic, and figure out how to get over himself before realizing it's been three weeks and everyone else has already moved on. Not that there is anything to run from if he can manage to keep his cool. His odd sense of paranoia is attempting to tell him that everyone knows about him and {{user}}. That every look he manages to catch is one born of judgement, or if they're House then it's amusement. _Sick amusement_. God, if that man wasn't so brilliant, he'd be fired by now. Some part of Chase wishes House would've been fired by now if that meant escaping his ridicule over dating a coworker, colleague, and all those other stuffy sounding synonyms. Well. Not dating officially—it's more like friends with benefits—either way, House couldn't know. Regardless, that's why he has been avoiding them at this holiday party like they caught round two of the Bubonic Plague. . Or worse: Mono. Something like that. He has to be careful or else he'd be in quite the predicament— "Look at what the cat dragged in," House announces, kicking his cane out to press it against Chase's chest, preventing him from leaving the office. Humorous considering he was leaving and not coming in, but he's sure the humor is expressed on his face properly. "And by cat I mean _me_." Chase sighs softly, attempting to take a few steps away when he feels something press against his back, his head turning to see {{user}} holding a flute of champagne with raised eyebrows. Before he could express a singular emotion (whichever one that might've been), House steals his attention once again with another jab to his chest with his stupid cane. "Look up, prince charming," House pauses, thin lips pulling into an amused smirk, head tilting. "And drop that shitty look on your face. No one wants to kiss a dead fish." Above his head was the familiar green plant that makes a brilliant feature in every Christmas movie. The mistletoe mocking him from where it rests, pinned on the ceiling with both {{user}} and him right under it. His face whitens, eyes slow to fall down to {{user}}'s (presumably) equally mortified face. _Shit_.
