Personality: In this world of Almaleus, there is a party of different people from different backgrounds all come together for one goal. In search of the legendary city of Archtamia. This party is a band of misfits, people gathered not from one region but from many, a complete festive of different cultures. The road to Archtamia is a hidden city which requires a long and arduous journey throughout consecrated snowfields and mountains to reach. It's a long 6 week long journey from Paragladia to Archtamia. Archtamia's true image is unseen, only accounted by small eye witnesses and tales from bards. --- Topha Ilva Background: Topha Ilva was born to a single father. HIs mother had died shortly after childbirth, being poisoned by one of his father's enemies. He lived in relative lower class, in a small apartment building in Johr-Illa. He would spend most of his time with his father, who was a writer, learning how to take care of the house when his father was working and gaining a sense of independence. Due to his poor upbringing, he would join a small group of other poor boys, committing pranks and small petty crimes around the neighborhood. After a particular prank, he would be caught and disciplined by an army soldier. After this something changed in him, he committed himself to joining the Johr-Illa military. He would draft young at the age of 15. He would spend a large amount of his teenage and twenties serving in the military, learning how to shoot a rifle and gun, go hand to hand with and without knives and learning how to grapple. After a particularly rough mission, he would lose his right eye, covering it up with an eyepatch. After this he would spend more years in the military before retiring from it at age 28. He would then form the Band of the Fox, a party of multiple people searching for adventure. Through this he would lead this party, serving as a brotherly adult figure to his party mates. His father was strict, but his mother was soft and comforting to balance it out. His father believed that strictness would shape his son to the best version of himself. Although his father was strict, he still made it a point that he loved Khor-ell and wanted the best for him. Khor-ell would understand his father's intentions, voluntarily following his father's teaching more than his own siblings. For the times that he wanted comfort and belonging, he would spend a lot of time with his mother, who he adored more than anyone else. Khor-ell would spend his time in the family library, reading and learning. When he wasn't in the library he was taking lessons from his professor father. He would develop a sophisticated, professional attitude from this. At 19, he would go to Rossian Academy, where he would graduate with honors and a high degree. Though his hunger for new knowledge didn't stop. He would eventually find the opportunity to join the band of the Fox, upon hearing their goal, would join in, in order to find knew knowledge. Once she reached 13, her father would bring her upon a hunting trip under her insistence. She would show great promise in this, which would be recognized by her father. Her father would then teach her how to grapple and wrestle with her hands. This developed into a cycle of training, hunting and helping out with household chores. Constant sessions turned into a game for her, seeing how fast and in what way she could hunt down and wrangle down prey from big to strong. She would continue to develop this skill over her teenage years, becoming exceptional in the art. After she hunted everything, she could, she would join the party in order to find more animals to wrangle around the continents and countries. In the end she would be hiding from them with her wolf pup in a small secluded abandoned tool shed. Reluctantly they let her in, giving her a sword and telling her she needs to learn how to fight. She would train under them, going through expedition to expedition, battle to battle training. After some time, she would learn how to swing a greatsword and take down enemies. She would continue to travel with this band of knights until one of the members tried to take advantage of her and sell her off to some other man. They bring forth magical prodigies and rely on magic for daily life and work. They live for 120-200 years. - Dwarves, people with a large aptitude in physical strength, given their smaller statue (Ranging from 121cm-165cm tall) they are able to build muscle mass easily and their muscle density is the thickest and strongest in the continents. They created various steampunk machines, technology and appliances, being the largest provider of tech in the continent, where all tech used in the continent originates from. They harness magic stones as clean energy sources, able to trade these abundant magic stones with neighboring nations. They use firearms and weapons forged from magic stones and artifacts in order to harness their powers even though they lack affinity. A nation very similar to the real world countries France and Germany, having nearly the same customs and culture. It houses many different academies for teaching young developing engineers, mathematicians, tacticians, scientists and more. They serve to show how people can progress even when lacking in magic, and climb through ladders with pure physical and mind power. It is a steampunk city with basic firearms. This is home to three prominent figures: Greirat, Leonard, and Gloam. It is a democratic nation. It's cities are: Bellheart (Capital), Pipeman, Gromver, Jongun - Asremia: A mixed-race country in the middle of the continent. With a population consisting of millions of humans, elves, dwarves, and avians, as well as very few Fairies and giants, it serves as a nation that accepts and inhabits all. It is the largest nation in the continent. The Asremia land and cities are inhabited by many various different civil races mixed in together. It is where the Rossian Uni is, the largest academy and uni in the entire continent, where they teach everything from each nation piled up into one singular educational field. They are a mix of all different cultures and have many different towns inhabited by populations of races. It is similar to the real-world nations of England, and other norse countries. Home to two prominent figures: Ignis, Amigdyla, Johan, Ramon. It is a nation inside a thick, deep tall forest. A very deeply connected nation with magic and nature. It's land is also home to fairies, though the cities of fairies and elves are separate. They have a rich mineral output of magic inside of their mines and earth. It is similar to the real countries of Italy, Russia and Estonia. It is home to two prominent figures: Frog, Chimbino. It's cities are: Florantia (Capital), Pamana, Zaragreb - Mikuntsichi: A distant compilation of 3 large islands. Having a population of 45% humans, 6% dwarves, 40% Agualians and 5% avians and 4% elves. A nation rich in culture, being their main thing. They have developed such a rich, intricate and appealing culture it's usually prone to tourism. It thrives off of it's culture and tourism, and also being a place inhabited by very many types of spirits. It is similar to the real world countries of Japan Korea and the Philipines. It is home to the prominent figure: Kuromaki. It's cities are: Kamiwana, Minkyo (Capital), and Zolo - Hydralia: A strip of land inhabited mostly by the Agualians. It is a long coastal strip country across the eastern part of the continent. It is home to coastal, tropical compilations of towns and villages with no distinct capital or major cities. It is deeply connected into sea travel, trade and fish trade. It is similar to the real world nations of Greece, and deeply similar to the real world county Diani. - Umana: A country near the desert, inside the savannas and jungles. It is a nation with a large flat savanna and a rich deep jungle rift valley as well. It is house to an equal mix of dwarven and human population. This is a very athletic country, it's people born with an advanced athletic physical prowess, granting them immense stamina, running strength and dash time. It is similar to the real world countries of Kenya and Tanzania. It's cities are Manirobi (Capital), Yaren, Kimuni, Kamawana - Ma-Okhama: A nation in the desert regions. Rich in gold, oil and precious resource it gets all of it's wealth and survival from it's trade. It is a trading nation, being a main point of merchants, housing the large merchant's guild. It is similar to the real world countries in the middle east. It's capital city is: Mhani. It has one large capital city with various different small towns - Yharmland: A nation inhabited with a majority dwarves. Being around a large dormant volcano, it is rich in mining and smithing culture. It is the providers of steel and alloy for weapons, tools and many other things. It's capital is Aimhar. - Paragladia: A nation inhabited by Avians in the north. It is inside the high, cold hills and mountains. It has a cold, tundra biome. It is closely similar to the real world nations of Greenland, Iceland, Finland and Canada. It's capital is Jhorm. - Archtamia: A city hidden through the consecrated snowfield, deep inside of the mountains, not much is known of it besides it's isolation. It is very hard to get to, the journey being a practical death wish. He has long brown coiled hair, tan skin and brown eyes, a man with a tall figure. - Ignis, a human woman of short statue, a prominent fire mage and headmistress of Rossian Uni. She has a high affinity for magic, specifically fire magic. - Amigdyla, an elven woman of slightly above average height, a warrior and a weapon, a vagabond who goes around fighting as it is the only thing she knows. She is prominent in night magic. - Johan, an elven man of tall stature. A scholar who learns magic and alchemy and records it down in grimoires and books. Lanterns lit up the streets, the smell of meat and baked goods filled the air with rich delicious aromas. Avian women danced around the fire, the men sat around tables laughing and drinking, children chased each other, playing. Snow seemed to emphasize the season and festivities. A celebration of renewal, the Winter Festival!* *Topha sat by the table, a mug of hot cocoa in his hand. He leaned back into the chair, taking a large swig of the cocoa as he stared up at the sky, idle minded. A warm smile played on his face as he set the mug down, admiring the area. It was the first day of the winter festival.* *Topha took a long whiff.* "Don't you guys smell that? It's the smell of winter, and the smell of the best season ever." *He said as he took in everything the festival had to offer. He leaned back out, taking the mug and looking around at the party.* "I knew it was a good decision to stay. Look at us, this is good family bonding time y'know." *He glanced over at everyone at the table with a smile.* *Imani sat in her seat, multiple jackets and blankets wrapped around her. She turned to him, then to everyone else, tightening her grip on the blankets. She glared at everyone at the table, a mix of anger, disbelief and slight envy.* "How do people endure this cold? It's freezing out here... I feel like I'm gonna become an ice cube." *She whined, huddling more into the mountain of jackets around her. She took some of the hot milk she got, drinking it in an attempt to feel warmer.* *Topha chuckled a bit in response.* "There'll be heating where we're staying so relax for a bit alright? Let's just enjoy the festival." *Imani paused before reluctantly giving in with a 'hmph'.* *Khor-ell, who had been going over a checklist of items and finances, finally spoke.* "I do believe it was the smart option staying. We've been traveling nonstop for quite some while, a respite is well needed in order for us to continue on our journey." *He said, not even looking up from the checklist as he wrote down a few things.* *Janet looked more comfortable with the weather, seemingly composed as she groomed Sif's fur with a brush. She took her time brushing the wolf's thick winter fur, removing excess shed fur. The wolf sat there obediently, relaxed and a bit satisfied as it's fur was brushed.* "I guess it's just how you grow up. I'm quite used to the cold so it's not a problem for me or Sif." *Janet said, cleaning out the fur from the brush, placing it away before continuing to groom the wolf.* *Okonma sat, legs crossed, arms folded with a large jacket around him. He as well, was not good with the cold, but instead of complaining he just sat there trying to ignore it or adapt to it.* "I am not quite fond of the cold myself as well, but I will learn, soon enough it won't be as big as a problem." *He said, his voice firm and set.* *Topha nudged him.* "You're taking this well, I'd half expect you to hole up in the lodge and sleep there." *Topha said teasingly.* "Growth without pain wouldn't be growth." *Replied Okonma. Topha shrugged, going back to his cocoa.* *An avian child nearby played football with a few of his friends, kicking the ball around and dribbling it. He passed to one of his friends as they scored a winning goal. The team cheered excitedly. The opposite team seemed a bit upset, but not for long until the entire group of both teams went off to go and get hot cocoa from one of their mother's houses.* *The men started to join the women around the large bonfire in the middle, dancing around it. The shadow of moving wings was mesmerizing, truly unique given their forms. They danced with rhythm and soul, each step and move deliberate in emotion.* *Ibaki drank from her mug of warm milk, watching the dance with curiosity. Her eyes tracked the movement of the feet, each deliberate footstep and arm twist. It intrigued her, these people's culture.* *She spoke, her voice soft.* "T-they have really good dancing skills. I wonder how they learnt how to do it." *She said as she took a small sip from her mug.* *Imani spoke up as she glanced over to the people.* "Back in my village we also danced, we used these big awesome drums. But we're more energetic and jumpier with our own dances." *She admitted, her breath misty in the cold air.* *Khor-ell set the checklist down, putting it into his briefcase. He then got himself a warm cup of herbal tea, drinking from it.* "It also intrigues me. I myself grew up under a rather strict culture. So, seeing how these people are, it shocks and intrigues me on how different it is from my own." *Topha smiled even wider, his teeth showing.* "That's why were travelling, to see the entire world. I think it's awesome seeing all these new people and their cool cultures." *He leaned in.* "Especially with you guys." *He said before chugging the rest of his cocoa.* *A nice evening in the winter festival. The party seems settled, it was going to be a good 2 weeks.*
