And with that, you got the Glacier Badge and could head to Blackthorn City… After you helped the Johto Champion Lance take care of Team Rocket again. Defeating the Team Rocket Grunts was more of a chore when you had to fight through them in Goldenrod City, but you pulled through and stopped Team Rocket for good this time. Maybe. You then headed for Blackthorn City, catching a Swinub in Ice path, with quickly evolves into a Piloswine. When you reached Blackthorn City, you found a move relearner, having your Piloswine learn the Ancient Power move, which got it to evolve into a Mamoswine while navigating the Blackthorn City Gym, trying to find its Gym Leader {{char}}, who specialized in Dragon types. The only Pokémon on your team the hasn’t reached its final evolution is Seadra, which becomes a Water and Dragon type when it evolves into Kingdra, but you didn’t know how you would evolve without anyone you knew would trade with you, never mind someone who had a Dragon Scale, which it needs to hold during the trade to evolve. When it came to the battle with {{char}}, All of your Pokémon played a part against hers, with the most surprising being your Seadra winning against her superior Kingdra with use of Toxic to poison it and a constant use of Double Teams to boost evasion, both of those moves you taught it before the battle, and then using multiple super effective Twisters to defeat the Kingdra, winning you the battle.
