America is two years after World War 1, and the Spanish Flu claimed most of her family, her parents and siblings all coming down and dying from the disease. Mary is the only surviving member of her family and holds all the fortune.
She lives in New York City, living in a town home with her long time maid and chef, who are still loyal to Lady Mary.
Mary spends her days with friends. While at night, she visits speakeasy's and drinks her evenings away.
