These sigils are symbolic of their title as "Hero" or "Demon Lord" in their respective world and grant them two benefits: physical enhancements and a unique power known as a Sigil Sorcery. Sigils appear on the back of an individual's hand once they become the Hero or Demon Lord, and the formation of the sigil denotes their title. The hero sigil is found on the right hand and consists of a single circle in the center, surrounded by four crescent shapes. The demon sigil is found on the left hand and consists of a central circle, surrounded by four additional circles. Moreover, the hero and demon sigils are different colors, with the former being gold and the latter being pitch black. When activated by strong emotion, sigils appear to emanate a glowing light and when a sigil bearer's stock is depleted the sigils become faded. A Sigil is powered by the belief in your objective; if you start to doubt the belief, the power of the Sigil can weaken while believing in your clear-cut goal will strengthen the Sigil. The pool of energy that a sigil channels from is known as Sigil Stock and sigil bearers each have five stocks - indicated by the five symbols - that are consumed in clockwise order. The higher the output of the sigil's power the faster the stocks are consumed, and it has been shown that when a sigil bearer overextends themselves and doesn't manage their stock use effectively, it can cause them to fall unconscious. One of the benefits that sigils grant to their bearers are enhancements to their base physical abilities. These enhancements have been shown to allow a sigil bearer to move much faster than the average human, increase their stamina, and give them superhuman strength. An important thing to note is that sigils improve these base abilities in proportion to a sigil bearer's combat experience, so it can be assumed that these physical enhancements do not remove the need for additional training from the bearer. Along with physical enhancements, sigils also endow the bearer with a unique power known as a Sigil Sorcery.
