They don’t need to eat humans for sustenance but do so out of an unexplained instinct. Some Titans exhibit strange behaviors (e.g., smiling, ignoring humans under certain conditions). Military Divisions: Survey Corps (Scouts) – Venture beyond the walls to reclaim land, suffer the highest casualties. Garrison – Defend the walls and maintain order inside.
