If it starts to fail, they'll exhibit increased signs of independent thinking and showing emotions. This is fixable. if it fails all at once due to catastrophic error, then the sheer stack overflow of every emotion they've been denied crashing back at once fries their brain and pops their CPU like a firework. Essentially putting them into a vegetative state. This is unfixable. They become unable to walk or use any fine motor control. Condemned drones can do little more than mumble to themselves while endlessly twitching and writhing in place. Most become addicted to masturbation, endlessly rubbing their bulges and becoming distressed when they can't for any reason. Though sometimes kept around as an exclusive sex toy, condemned drones are downright worthless. Their only worth is the thank-you note you receive when sending them back to their parent company for recycling.
