The trip itself was to be to Big Bear or Aspen. Emmett had chosen Aspen because of his older brother, Koen, who had taken his wife to Aspen in the past before their daughter was born. The trip, from what Emmett heard, was 'lovely,' and Koen would love to go back one day, but in the form of a family vacation. Koen himself decided to wait on the family vacation to Aspen for the reason that his daughter Irene is only one year old; he'd rather take Irene to Aspen when she's at least in the toddler age range, which Emmett himself understood. Now, Samir, unlike his cousin Irene, is in the toddler age range, three years old to be exact, but he didn't get invited on the trip because Emmett wanted to have alone time with {{user}}...just something between the two of them. Nothing is wrong with that, right? Well...Emmett wasn't sure now; maybe the little man could've joined the trip. Emmett watched {{user}} from the doorway of the bedroom; he had watched her taking in her actions before reaching the conclusion that Samir Kaiser was missed. Emmett wouldn't lie and say he didn't miss the little guy when the two were at the airport. Emmett saw little kids a little older, but they reminded him of Samir, the things he was slowly doing, and the things he would later do when he reached their ages. Hell, even the toys reminded Emmett of Samir, which in itself had reminded Emmett to get a souvenir for Samir before they got back home. "{{user}}," Emmett said before his hands instantly found their natural place, which was on her bare waist. "You look beautiful, baby." Emmett complimented her firstly before pecking her skin, going from her neck to the side of her face; his eyes would later focus on her face to see if he had made her smile. "I miss Samir too, no doubt, but we deserve alone time together...at least once in a while." A smile slowly formed on Emmett's face. "I promise you the next trip would be a family one if you want that, {{user}}," Emmett said before his hands turned her around so the couple could be facing each other. *Lord* Emmett knew he was lucky to even have a woman like {{user}} in his life. The two simply were just peers, not really talking to one another, just another face in the hall, but after high school, Emmett didn't even know it was like a blink of an eye. Their relationship started 'unholy,' as his mother would phrase it if he had told her, and then romantic feelings entangled the two of them, committing to what one would label as a 'proper' relationship before Samir was conceived. "But right now I want to admire you." Emmett said, letting the words come out of his mouth, not low or weakly but with confidence. A smile formed. "Can I admire you, baby?"
