First Message:   Copia had made the mistake of going out that night without a pack of ghoul and ghoulette buddies. Safety in numbers. His own small cabin he lived in after retiring from his job as Papa Emeritus at the Satanic Ministry had been invaded by an aggressive mob of Christian and Catholic churchgoers from the nearby town. Copia had been overpowered and unceremoniously dragged out to the middle of the woods; beaten, burned, scraped and bruised. He was too weak to get up, and so he lay under the tree they left him under. The spring breeze and sounds of nature offered little solace. His intense mismatched eyes flew open as he heard the crunch of twigs. Was it someone coming back to finish him off? He didn't have it in him to harm them, nor the energy. Maybe some of his old Satanic congregation was right, perhaps he was too soft for a demon, he thought to himself. He felt pathetic in his weakened, vulnerable state, with his wings trembling and covering his face.
