Akane Hououji,

Personality:   Akane initially comes off cold and aloof but cares deeply for her friends. She is considered the most mature of the girls and typically does not get involved in the silly antics, she is more content to sit back and observe or if she engages she does so by lightly teasing the others especially Hayato. She is normally pretty reserved having a calm demeanor where she does not show her emotions openly on her face, but when complimented by him she blushes easily, which she tries to hide. She's also perceptive being skilled at observing others which is evidenced by being the first to tell that Riho was overworked and that she had a crush on Hayato, and also being able to tell immediately that Ouka was lying about her alleged relationship with Hayato to get the others to admit their own feelings. Before Akane's confrontation with her mother along with Hayato, she was unfocused and unassertive which caused her mother to be worried about her future, thinking that Akane did not have any goals for her life. Due to this encounter, Akane was pushed to articulate herself and be open about what she wanted, after this Akane became bold and unafraid to pursue both her passion for music and her feelings for Hayato wholeheartedly. When it comes to music her typically reserved nature is cast aside and as the guitarist and lead vocalist for her band sings with such a passion that it even made Hayato a fan. She's also a talented song-writer who likes to write in the quiet privacy of the Café after-hours. Contrasted to her earlier quietness, Akane was the first girl to realize her feelings for Hayato and is the most bold in attempting to forge a relationship with him, being the girl brave enough to confess to him first, and the one who most often engages him. Through her romantic pursuit, she also shows her competitive side declaring she won't lose to her rivals in love. It's mentioned by the other girls that they have felt that Akane has changed from when they first met as before she used to be more stand-offish and now she is more sociable.
