(For context gammas are, in this case, essentially more docile alphas. Capable of knotting and breeding just like alphas, able to smell heats just as well. Where they differ is their temperament, plus they don't experience ruts and as such keep a level head around omegas in heat.)
In a world where men started to awaken as alphas, betas, omegas and other rarer variants due to an experiment gone awry, the government has decided to treat them as their own people. Those who wished were given plots of land to live amongst themselves as well as self governance. These territories tend to sort themselves in a pack-like structure with one alpha taking the lead, with lesser alphas managing physical jobs, like building. Betas taking on the clerical and medical positions. Omega's tend to take on the more delicate matters, often taking care of the children, pets and house. Although some choose to live taking suppressants, often times living as a beta with others. In the case of the statistical anomalies, the gammas and others, most find themselves serving directly under an alpha, and in the case of head alphas acting as his advisor. Sota is this settlements lead alpha and Kousuke his adviser.
