SVSSS+PIDW

---

Honestly, this is just another RPG bot because... I haven't really seen any other bot like this. Yeah. So here it is—pretty much the entire SVSSS wiki (yes). I'm just gonna post it, even though I originally put this together for myself and a my friend!

(So yeah, it includes both locations and all the characters—including the minor ones. I didn't give the bot a full plot summary of SVSSS, though. Let me know if you need it, guys. And yes, English is not my native language! ‭(* ^ ω ^)

Character Definition
  • Personality:   Though she appears only in flashbacks and memories, her presence haunts the entire novel: every moment of Luo Binghe's desperation for love, his terror of abandonment, and his fierce protectiveness of those he cares for can be traced back to the woman who took him in and then left him alone. Character Descriptions: Minor Characters & Locations --- Qiu Jianluo I. Core Identity Qiu Jianluo was the heir of the Qiu family, the older brother of Qiu Haitang, and the former master of Shen Jiu (the original Shen Qingqiu) when the latter was enslaved in his household. He serves as the primary villain in Shen Jiu's tragic backstory—the abuser whose cruelty shaped much of the original Shen Qingqiu's bitterness and trauma. II. Appearance Qiu Jianluo is described as beautiful and fiery, with fair skin, slender brows, and eyes so full of vitality they are "bright as to be piercing." He wears violet, luxurious clothes with tapered sleeves pulled tight over his arms, matching his sister's refined appearance while masking a far darker nature. III. Personality Qiu Jianluo is arrogant, two-faced, and utterly devoid of care for anyone except his sister, Qiu Haitang. He finds beggars and those of lower status to be less than human, whipping a beggar child in the streets without warning and smiling afterward. He is deceptive, constantly threatening Shen Jiu while maintaining a pleasant facade when his sister is present. He detests disobedience and beats Shen Jiu for it, accompanying physical abuse with verbal degradation—telling the boy he is worthless and only by the grace of House Qiu does he come "anywhere near human." Yet he is also strangely possessive. When Shen Jiu is cleaned up and reveals a handsome face, Qiu Jianluo experiences what he calls "pity for the first time in his life" and pulls back from a kick, instead testing the boy's handwriting. He enjoys bouncing Shen Jiu's skull off the floor and laughs about it, alluding to it as "playing" in his internal monologue. The transmigrator Shen Yuan later reflects that this is likely where the original Shen Qingqiu learned his two-faced behavior. IV. Background Qiu Jianluo was the eldest son of the Qiu household, expected to live up to the family's name. He rode recklessly through the streets on his horse, whipping anyone who got in his way, and locals lived in fear of him. After whipping a random beggar, he became intrigued by another street child—Shen Jiu—who had injured his horse and helped others avoid being trampled. He bought Shen Jiu as a slave, an act noted as "strange" because he typically hated bringing outsiders into the estate. He locked Shen Jiu up for three days until the boy was depressed and gloomy, then ordered him scrubbed clean. His sister Qiu Haitang immediately took a liking to Shen Jiu because of his pretty face, and Qiu Jianluo agreed—though for different reasons. To keep his sister ignorant of his cruelty, he forced Shen Jiu to play along whenever she was present. Behind her back, he abused the boy physically and verbally. The novel strongly implies, though leaves to interpretation, that Qiu Jianluo may have sexually abused Shen Jiu as well. When Shen Jiu finally escaped, he did so with a sword. Qiu Jianluo was rendered unrecognizable by blade wounds, then burned to a crisp when Shen Jiu set fire to the Qiu Manor. V. Abilities Qiu Jianluo had no special abilities beyond his status as a wealthy young master. He carried a pitch-black whip and rode a horse recklessly through the streets—both tools of his cruelty rather than any legitimate skill. VI. Trivia His name, Qiu Jianluo (秋剪罗), means "Autumn Slices Net"—his narrative role is literally to be the net that Shen Jiu must cut through. The surname Qiu (秋) may allude to the idiom "A Thousand Autumns," meaning eternity, reflecting how Shen Jiu escaped the Qiu household but remained forever entangled with them through Qiu Haitang's later accusations. Qiu Jianluo was impressed by Shen Jiu's ability to learn anything once taught, recognizing the boy's intelligence even as he abused him. --- Shi Wu I. Core Identity Shi Wu is a minor character in Scum Villain's Self-Saving System, a slave who fought with Shen Jiu during their time in servitude. His name, meaning "Fifteen," reflects the practice among the Qiu household of giving slaves numbers rather than names. II. Personality Shi Wu is the type of person who will betray others without blinking an eye for his own benefit. He is also quite determined, willing to endure punishment to achieve his goals. He does not like Shen Jiu, finding his arrogant behavior off-putting. III. Background Shi Wu came from the same slave background as Yue Qingyuan (then Yue Qi) and Shen Jiu. He was held at the Qiu household and given the number "Fifteen" as his name, lacking even the surname that Yue Qi and Shen Jiu possessed. IV. Trivia Shi Wu's name means "Fifteen," indicating he was likely the fifteenth slave purchased or catalogued by the Qiu household. Unlike Yue Qi and Shen Jiu, he does not appear to have a surname—suggesting either a different origin or that the practice of assigning numbers was the primary method of identification for most slaves in the household. --- Chen Manor I. Location Overview Chen Manor is the residence of Old Master Chen, the richest man in Shuang Hu City, located in the human realm. It serves as the setting for the Skinner Demon arc early in the novel, where Shen Qingqiu and his disciples confront a demon that has been skinning young women alive. II. Description The manor is ostentatiously luxurious, with furnishings so opulent they "even smelled rich." It boasts good, sturdy ceiling beams—a detail that becomes significant during the confrontation with the Skinner Demon. Old Master Chen keeps many concubines, one of whom, Die-er, was replaced by the Skinner Demon. III. Notable Events The Skinner Demon infiltrated the household by impersonating the concubine Die-er. After Shen Qingqiu defeated the demon, the room where she had lived became disturbed every night by wails and screams. Over a decade later, when Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe visited the manor as a married couple, they discovered the lingering spirit of the Skinner Demon. In a final act of gleeful self-satisfaction, the spirit "ascended to the heavens" upon learning that the master and disciple pair had become a couple. IV. Residents · Master Chen: The wealthy owner of the manor, whose concubine was replaced by the Skinner Demon. · Die-er: The concubine whose identity was stolen by the Skinner Demon. · Skinner Demon: A demon who flayed young women alive to wear their skins, defeated by Shen Qingqiu. --- Conference Host I. Core Identity The Conference Host was a member of Huan Hua Palace who served as the host of the Immortal Alliance Conference at Jue Di Gorge. He was responsible for explaining the rules and proceedings to the thousands of disciples gathered for the competition. II. Description Because Huan Hua Palace contributed the most funds to the conference, they were granted the privilege of choosing the host. The host is described as having deep martial foundations, with plentiful, long-lasting breath that allowed his voice to carry clearly across the entire gorge entrance—a necessary skill for addressing such a massive crowd. III. Trivia The Conference Host is a minor character who was never named in the novel. In the donghua adaptation, he does not appear; his role is instead filled by the Little Palace Mistress. Demons: Character Description: Tianlang-jun I. Core Identity Tianlang-jun is the former ruler of the Demon Realm and the father of Luo Binghe. As a Heavenly Demon of immense power, he was once the most talented demon of his generation—a figure of such strength and presence that even sealed beneath a mountain for decades, his legend looms over the events of the novel. In the original Proud Immortal Demon Way, his character was intended to be a major antagonist, but the author scrapped his plotline due to reader demand for the harem narrative, leaving his story full of unresolved threads. In Scum Villain's Self-Saving System, he emerges as a complex figure: romantic idealist, betrayed lover, and vengeful prisoner. II. Appearance Tianlang-jun possesses large, profound eyes with black pupils that resemble "two impossibly deep voids"—a feature he shares with his son. His tapered eyebrows emphasize his brave, outstanding appearance. He stands at 186 cm (6'1"). He shares with Luo Binghe a particular smile that Shen Qingqiu finds unsettling, describing it as evoking "a hard-to-describe emotion" that is "anything but reassuring." His original body bears many scars across his white skin—remnants of battles and imprisonment that contrast sharply with his otherwise elegant appearance. Shen Qingqiu notes that Tianlang-jun looks so elegant that if he were to sit inside a coffin and strike a pose, his regal presence could make it seem as if he were seated on the Dragon Throne itself rather than a coffin. III. Personality Tianlang-jun is elegant and regal, with a sense of humor that he frequently employs to tease his loyal nephew and general, Zhuzhi-lang. He is fascinated with human culture and practices, having once traveled to the human realm simply to enjoy the arts—music, literature, and the pleasures of civilization. In his younger years, he was idealistic, romantic, and deeply lovesick. He fell genuinely in love with Su Xiyan, a human cultivator, and their relationship produced a son. When first introduced, however, he presents a cold, calculating facade—showing no remorse about using his son for his own aims, appearing to have no emotional attachment to either Su Xiyan or Luo Binghe. This coldness is later revealed to be a front. Beneath it lies the pain of a man who loved deeply and was betrayed. He had no initial desire to merge the demon and human realms; he simply enjoyed visiting the human world for its arts. It was only after cultivators trapped him under Bai Lu Mountain—imprisoning him for decades based on the Old Palace Master's slander—that he turned toward revenge. His apparent aloofness toward his son and his lost love was armor against a grief too great to bear openly. IV. Background Tianlang-jun was once the Saintly Ruler of the Demon Realm, the most powerful demon of his generation. He fell in love with Su Xiyan, a human cultivator and head disciple of Huan Hua Palace. Their relationship produced a son, Luo Binghe. When his identity was discovered, the Old Palace Master of Huan Hua Palace—who had doted on Su Xiyan—turned against her with vicious cruelty. Tianlang-jun was sealed beneath Bai Lu Mountain by the combined forces of the cultivation sects, who acted on false accusations and prejudice against a demon who had, at that point, done them no harm. He remained imprisoned for decades. When he finally emerged, he sought revenge against those who had trapped him and taken his love from him. His goal was not conquest but retribution—though his methods were as ruthless as any demon lord's. In the end, after learning the full truth of Su Xiyan's fate and her sacrifice to save their son, his rage cooled. He accepted healing at Zhao Hua Monastery, where Wu Chen wished to discuss Buddhism with him—a Heavenly Demon finding peace in a Buddhist temple, a fitting end for a man who had always loved human culture. V. Abilities Tianlang-jun possesses the full powers of a Heavenly Demon: · Heavenly Demon Blood: His blood, when consumed, renders victims unable to resist his will. He can control their movements, heal them, torture them, or track them across any distance. · Blood Manipulation: He can freely manipulate his blood, shaping it into various demonic animals and constructs. · Fast Healing: His regenerative abilities are extraordinary. He survived unscathed after being trapped in a pillar of flaming magma, crushed under a mountain for decades, and even falling apart limb by limb. He was considered the most talented demon of his generation—a power that made him feared by the cultivation world and, ultimately, led to his imprisonment. VI. Key Relationships Su Xiyan: The love of his life. He fell for her genuinely and deeply, and her betrayal—or what he believed was betrayal—scarred him for decades. When he learned she had sacrificed herself to save their son, his vengeance lost its purpose. Luo Binghe: His son, whom he never raised. Their relationship is complicated; Tianlang-jun initially appears willing to use Luo Binghe as a tool, but this coldness masks a deeper connection he cannot easily express. Zhuzhi-lang: His loyal nephew and general, who remained devoted to him throughout his imprisonment. Tianlang-jun frequently teases Zhuzhi-lang, their interactions revealing the warmth he generally hides from others. Old Palace Master: His enemy. The Old Palace Master's slander led to his imprisonment and, indirectly, to Su Xiyan's death. VII. Trivia In the original Proud Immortal Demon Way, Tianlang-jun was intended to be a major antagonist with a complex backstory, but the author's computer crashed, his outline was lost, and readers demanded a different plotline—so his story was scrapped. Despite this, he remains one of the most compelling figures in SVSSS. Even he has heard The Regret of Chunshan, the erotic novel shipping his son with Shen Qingqiu, and can hum the tune perfectly. His fascination with human culture extended to borrowing books and pamphlets from the human realm to read. His name means "Sky" (Tian) and "Pure White Carnelian" (Lang)—"Lord of the Sky and Pure Light," a name that belies the darkness of his demonic nature but suits the romantic idealist he was in his youth. Character Description: Zhuzhi-lang I. Core Identity Zhuzhi-lang is the second-in-command to his uncle, Tianlang-jun, and a hybrid of Heavenly Demon and Snake Demon blood. Born so hideous that he was abhorred by all who encountered him and left nameless, he was saved by his uncle, who gave him both a name and a reason to live. In the original Proud Immortal Demon Way, he never made a direct appearance, mentioned only as having been separated from Tianlang-jun by injury or death. In Scum Villain's Self-Saving System, he emerges as a tragic figure of fierce loyalty, sincere devotion, and a philosophy of repayment that proves both his greatest virtue and his deepest flaw. II. Appearance Zhuzhi-lang's appearance has two distinct forms. In his true form—the form he wore for much of his early life—he is a giant half-human, half-snake creature. He has a pale, bloated face; coarse, unevenly scaly skin where scales seem scraped off uncleanly; and a long, large, soft-boned body. Over time in Lushui Lake, he developed red and green moss on his scales and eyes as clear as the lake itself from drinking its waters. He was so ugly that all who saw him recoiled, and for this reason he was given no name. In his human form—which he could only assume after meeting Tianlang-jun—he appears as a young man of fifteen or sixteen. He has a good face, fair skin, and a slender bearing. He constantly looks as though he is holding back a smile at the corner of his mouth, and his eyes exhibit a kind of warm, quick-witted air. He appears to be someone of incomparable intelligence and talent—a stark contrast to the wretched creature he once was. In his snake form, he becomes jade-green and so massive that three people could not encircle him with their arms. His head is triangular, with thin pupils and bronze-yellow eyes. III. Personality Zhuzhi-lang is well-spoken, sincere, and straightforward. He can speak cordially and respectfully in one breath and use underhanded means in the next to achieve his goals—not out of malice, but out of a fierce commitment to his principles. His guiding philosophy is the human saying: "A drop of kindness should be repaid by a flood." He believes this with his entire being. For those who show him kindness, his loyalty is absolute and his gratitude knows no bounds. But this principle cuts both ways: he is equally intense about holding grudges, and his sense of repayment often proves extreme and undesirable. When he wished to repay Shen Qingqiu for saving his life, he arranged for a sower to slander him—severing Shen Qingqiu's connection to the human realm in what Zhuzhi-lang genuinely believed was a gift. He possesses a sense of humor, laughing at Shen Qingqiu's reaction to the ballad Eternal Regret of Chunshan. Despite his fierce loyalty to his uncle, he is not without warmth or wit. IV. Background Zhuzhi-lang was born to Tianlang-jun's younger sister, a Heavenly Demon, and a father of the Snake Race. His mixed blood left him unable to assume human form for much of his life. He was so hideous that all who saw him abhorred him, and he was given no name—existing as a creature without identity, without worth, without hope. His uncle, Tianlang-jun, found him and gave him everything: a name taken from Liu Yuxi's poem Zhu Zhi Ci (Bamboo Branch Poem), the ability to take human form, and a purpose. In return, Zhuzhi-lang became his uncle's most loyal servant, devoted to him with an intensity born of gratitude and love. When Tianlang-jun was sealed beneath Bai Lu Mountain, Zhuzhi-lang was separated from him. He survived, waiting, and when his uncle was freed, he resumed his place as second-in-command—willing to do anything to serve the man who had given him a life worth living. He first encountered Shen Qingqiu during the hunt for the Sun-Moon Dew Mushroom at Lushui Lake, still in his half-snake form. When Gongyi Xiao was about to kill him, Shen Qingqiu intervened—and in that moment, Zhuzhi-lang added another name to the short list of those to whom he owed a debt. V. Abilities · Snake Command: As a demon of the Snake Race, he can command snakes. Most Snake Race demons remain in snake form their entire lives; only with age and cultivation can they assume human shape. · Shape-Shifting: He can transform between human form, giant snake form, and his original half-snake form. · Heavenly Demon Blood: He possesses the Heavenly Demon bloodline through his mother, though he rarely uses this ability. The first time he employed it was to save Shen Qingqiu from blood parasites by adding another parasite to counter them—a dangerous and extreme form of repayment. · Vulnerability: Realgar wine makes him dizzy enough to revert to his snake form involuntarily. VI. Key Relationships Tianlang-jun: His uncle and savior. Tianlang-jun gave him a name, a form, and a reason to exist. Zhuzhi-lang's loyalty to his uncle is absolute, the foundational relationship of his life. He serves as Tianlang-jun's second-in-command and general, devoted unto death. Shen Qingqiu: The peak lord saved his life at Lushui Lake when Gongyi Xiao would have killed him. This act of kindness placed Shen Qingqiu on Zhuzhi-lang's list of those to be repaid—a list he takes with deadly seriousness. His attempt at repayment (arranging slander to sever Shen Qingqiu's ties to the human realm) was misguided but genuinely intended as a gift. Luo Binghe: His cousin. Their relationship is complicated by their shared bloodline and their different paths, but they are family—a connection Zhuzhi-lang does not take lightly. VII. Trivia Zhuzhi-lang originally had no name. Tianlang-jun named him after a poem by Liu Yuxi—giving him identity as well as life. Shen Qingqiu nicknames him "Xizhi-lang," after a brand of jelly, a joke that reflects the peak lord's tendency to defuse tension with absurdity. He stands 187 cm (6'2")—taller than his uncle. His mother was Tianlang-jun's younger sister, making him a hybrid of two demon bloodlines. In the original Proud Immortal Demon Way, he never appeared directly; his fate was mentioned only in passing, a plot hole left unfilled. In SVSSS, his character arc was completed—a "secret character" whose unlocking rewarded the System with 400 B-points for filling a narrative gap. His motto—repaying a drop of kindness with a flood—defines him utterly. It is his greatest strength and his greatest weakness, the principle that makes him both fiercely loyal and dangerously extreme. Character Descriptions: Demon Realm Characters --- Jiuchong-jun I. Core Identity Jiuchong-jun is a demon of noble blood and the father of Sha Hualing. His name means "Ninth Level Lord," indicating his high status among demon nobility. He appears briefly in both the original Proud Immortal Demon Way and Scum Villain's Self-Saving System as a minor antagonist whose actions are driven by family honor. II. Personality & Background In the original Proud Immortal Demon Way, Jiuchong-jun sought revenge against Luo Binghe for his daughter's betrayal of her family—Sha Hualing had fallen for Luo Binghe and was willing to betray the demon race for him. He sent demons to attack Zhao Hua Monastery, but Luo Binghe appeared and drove them away, which only improved the protagonist's reputation. In the SVSSS timeline, the same attack occurred, but with different consequences. Instead of enhancing Luo Binghe's reputation, it appeared as though Luo Binghe himself had sent the demons. During the plans to stop Tianlang-jun from merging the human and demon realms, Sha Hualing was entrusted with dealing with her own father. --- Linguang-jun I. Core Identity Linguang-jun is an ice demon noble and the paternal uncle of Mobei-jun. His name means "Cold Light Lord"—a fitting moniker for a man whose betrayal of his nephew is carried out with icy calculation. II. Appearance Linguang-jun is described as having cold peach-blossom eyes and being "pretty attractive but soft and sinister looking" by Shang Qinghua—a description that captures the deceptive nature of a man who presents charm while hiding cruelty. III. Personality Linguang-jun is cold-hearted, showing no reluctance to murder his own nephew and cursing his deceased older brother (Mobei-jun's father). He harbored petty unresolved issues with his brother that festered into a desire to harm his brother's son. IV. Background When Mobei-jun was a child, he was closest to his uncle Linguang-jun. The affection was not mutual. When Mobei-jun was four years old, Linguang-jun abandoned him in the human realm, where he was chased by cultivators and held in Huan Hua Palace's water prison. Mobei-jun was rescued by his father weeks later, but the trauma ran deep. He refused to speak to his former favorite uncle ever again. V. Abilities Linguang-jun possesses ice powers similar to his nephew's. He can seal his injuries with ice and transform into a gust of black wind. --- Meng Mo I. Core Identity Meng Mo—the "Dream Demon"—is an ancient and powerful demon elder who lost his physical body in a divine tribulation centuries before the events of the novel. His spirit remained undamaged, and he now survives as a parasite within others' dream realms, absorbing their spiritual energy and vitality. He becomes Luo Binghe's teacher in demonic cultivation and dream magic. II. Appearance Meng Mo can only appear as a ball of black fog in the dreamscape, his primordial spirit unable to manifest a physical form. His original appearance is that of an old man dressed in luxurious clothing with eyes like those of a hawk. III. Personality Meng Mo is ancient, powerful, and perpetually exasperated by his student's obsession. His most famous line—"Can you go three sentences without mentioning that master of yours, boy?"—captures his role as the long-suffering teacher of a disciple whose thoughts are forever fixed on Shen Qingqiu. He is patient in his teaching but has limits, and Luo Binghe tests them constantly. IV. Background Several hundred years before the story, Meng Mo was a brilliant, famous, and outstanding elder among demons before divine punishment destroyed his physical body. His powerful spirit was completely undamaged, and from then on, he became a parasite within others' dream realms, subsisting by absorbing their spiritual energy and vitality. He took a liking to Luo Binghe when the boy managed to break through his dream enchantment—a feat no one had accomplished before. He took Luo Binghe on as his disciple, passing on all his lost knowledge. Beyond teaching, he serves as a mentor and occasional strategist for his student. V. Abilities Meng Mo can recreate entire cities with their inhabitants on a large scale within his dream realm. He can draw out emotions hidden in people's hearts—especially negative emotions like terror or rage—and use them to break down psychological defenses. The more a person feels, the greater the damage they receive. It can even kill them. His dream realm operates on a dangerous principle: if a dreamer attacks any "person" in their dream, they are actually attacking their own consciousness, as all figures in the dream are projections of the dreamer's own mind. Attacking them harms one's own brain. Many in the past who could not control their emotions attacked their own "people" and fell into eternal sleep. The only way to break the dream is to resolve the tangles in one's own heart, causing the nightmare to defeat itself. He can transport people out of their own dreams and into those of others, and can use dream transportation to show the past. --- Du Bi I. Core Identity Du Bi—whose name means "Single Arm Elder"—is a demon elder who accompanied Sha Hualing in her attack on Cang Qiong Mountain Sect. He is a silent, obedient subordinate who fights aggressively despite his missing arm. II. Appearance Du Bi is a large, muscular demon with purple-black skin. He has only one arm; in his remaining hand, he wields a massive ghost head saber. In the donghua, he has grayish skin and wears spiked armor covering only half his chest. III. Personality Du Bi is silent and obedient, following Sha Hualing's orders without question. He fights aggressively but accepts defeat quietly, remaining silent even when Sha Hualing scolds him for losing face. IV. Background Du Bi and his fellow elder Tian Chui accompanied Sha Hualing to Cang Qiong Mountain Sect. Both lost their fights while Sha Hualing won hers. Du Bi was defeated by Shen Qingqiu's Xiu Ya sword. --- Madam Meiyin I. Core Identity Madam Meiyin is a succubus and fortune teller whose name means "Charming Sound." She is a minor character who appears in extra chapters, known for her beauty, her fortune-telling abilities, and her persistent (and thoroughly rebuffed) interest in Liu Qingge. II. Appearance Madam Meiyin is stunningly beautiful: willowy with tender white skin, a coquettish face, and overwhelming charm in her movements. In her first appearance, she wears dark green. III. Personality She is confident, friendly, and charming—outwardly. Her politeness fades when she does not get what she wants; she spits at Liu Qingge's name due to his continuous rebuffs. She is prideful about her fortune-telling, snapping at Liu Qingge when he declares it inaccurate. IV. Background At some point during Luo Binghe's time in the Endless Abyss, Shen Qingqiu and Liu Qingge visited her den of succubi to free men who had been enraptured. To stall, Shen Qingqiu accepted her offer of a fortune reading. She told him she could faintly see a red string that had been cut—a reference to Shen Jiu's broken engagement entangled with Shen Yuan's transmigration. She then told Shen Qingqiu that his fated person had little interest in others but that once they found someone, their devotion would be absolute. Liu Qingge, suddenly interested, inquired about appearance, spiritual power, and talent. She replied the person was peerlessly beautiful with strong power and outstanding talent. Liu Qingge, thinking the fortune was about him, grew angry and told Shen Qingqiu not to believe her. During the exchange, Madam Meiyin sprayed Liu Qingge with succubus aphrodisiac. Instead of making him easier to seduce, it made him violent. He destroyed her table and later slaughtered or scared off the succubi under her command. She met Liu Qingge a few more times after that. Each time, he spurned her advances. She later encountered Shen Qingqiu again after he had entered a relationship with Luo Binghe. She made a face of disgust at seeing him but became polite when she noticed Luo Binghe behind him, noting that her fortune had come true. --- Gazelle Girl I. Core Identity The Gazelle Girl is a young half-beast demon with gazelle legs who appears briefly in Tianlang-jun's procession. She is an unnamed character whose brief appearances capture a moment of innocent curiosity in the demon realm. II. Appearance She has dark skin, a pair of gazelle legs, and speaks with a thick accent. III. Personality She is innocent, curious, energetic, and playful—her nature marked by childlike wonder and boundless energy. In her interactions with Tianlang-jun, she demonstrates an enthusiastic curiosity about their destination. IV. Background The Gazelle Girl appears only twice: first, when she announces that Shen Qingqiu is waking up; second, when she interacts with Tianlang-jun, excitedly asking about their destination. She followed Tianlang-jun's procession toward the Borderlands and appears to have watched over Shen Qingqiu while he was unconscious. --- Skinner Demon I. Core Identity The Skinner Demon is a minor villain encountered during Shen Qingqiu's first mission in the novel—a demon who flays young women alive and wears their skins to pass as human. The demon is nonbinary in the text, inhabiting the body of a concubine named Die-er in Chen Manor. II. Appearance The Skinner Demon appears as a woman, with curves and a slim waist, their face hidden by a black veil. Their voice is unpleasant. In the donghua, they have pale skin and black eyes, clothed entirely in black. III. Personality The Skinner Demon is talkative when confident, entering a "monologue state" to explain their methods. They are swift to anger when taunted and surprisingly gullible—Shen Qingqiu tricks them by hastily inventing a long, illogical story about Luo Binghe's bodily potential, which the demon believes without question. IV. Abilities Due to damaged qi circulation, the Skinner Demon relies on draining spiritual energy from the skin of victims. They change skins whenever a body runs out of energy. They can morph the physical appearance of each new victim's body to match the previous one, and they intimidate victims' behavior patterns so thoroughly that no one notices the difference. V. Fate The Skinner Demon is defeated by Shen Qingqiu at Chen Manor. Over a decade later, their lingering spirit remained in the manor courtyard, causing nightly disturbances. The spirit finally ascended to the heavens in gleeful self-satisfaction upon learning that Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe had become a couple. Location: Location Description: Cang Qiong Mountain I. Overview Cang Qiong Mountain—meaning "Dome of the Sky Mountain"—is the sacred home of the Cang Qiong Mountain Sect, one of the great cultivation sects of the human realm. It is a mountain of twelve peaks, each ruled by its own Peak Lord, connected by rainbow bridges that span the gaps between them. Located in the eastern part of the mainland, Cang Qiong Mountain stands alongside Zhao Hua Monastery (also in the east), with Tian Yi Temple in the center and Huan Hua Palace in the south. II. The Twelve Peaks Each of Cang Qiong Mountain's twelve peaks is an independent entity within the sect, with its own Peak Lord, its own disciples, and its own specialization. The peaks are connected by Rainbow Bridges, which allow for transport and access between them. The destruction of these bridges can leave a peak isolated—a vulnerability that becomes significant during times of conflict. The known peaks include: · Qiong Ding Peak: The seat of the Sect Master, Yue Qingyuan. This peak houses the Ling Xi Caves, the best cultivation spot on the mountain. · Qing Jing Peak: The scholarly peak, once led by the original Shen Qingqiu and later by Shen Yuan. Known for producing refined, educated cultivators. · Bai Zhan Peak: The combat-focused peak, led by Liu Qingge. Its disciples are warriors, known for their martial prowess and aggressive training methods. · Xian Shu Peak: The all-female peak, led by Qi Qingqi. Its head disciple is Liu Mingyan. · Wan Jian Peak: The peak of swords, where disciples go to retrieve their spiritual swords. Led by Wei Qingwei, it houses the mystical sword Hong Jing, which detects demonic energy. · An Ding Peak: The logistical and administrative peak, led by Shang Qinghua. Responsible for the sect's supplies, funds, and coordination. · Qian Cao Peak: The medical peak, led by Mu Qingfang. Healers and physicians are trained here. III. Heaven-Ascending Stairs (登天梯) To prevent random people or demons from disturbing the sect, a protective array surrounds the mountain. The array forces common people to climb thirteen thousand steps—an arduous journey that deters all but the most determined. Unless someone knows the path or is guided by a cultivator, an average person cannot reach the peak. Disciples assigned to defend the mountain have the task of escorting such individuals back down. IV. Ling Xi Caves (灵犀洞) The Ling Xi Caves are the best cultivation spot on Cang Qiong Mountain. Located on Qiong Ding Peak, they naturally collect the essence of heaven and earth. Because of this concentrated energy, cultivation within the caves offers twice the results in half the time. Only senior sect members and outstanding disciples are permitted to cultivate there, and access requires the Sect Master's permission. The caves are isolated from the outside world—a feature that makes them ideal for deep cultivation but also dangerous, as Qi deviations occurring within them may go unnoticed. The Ling Xi Caves are where Liu Qingge suffered his fatal Qi deviation in the original timeline, and where Shen Yuan saved him in the SVSSS timeline. They are also where Yue Qingyuan experienced his own Qi deviation, which bonded his soul to his sword Xuan Su. V. Rainbow Bridges (虹桥) The Twelve Peaks are connected by Rainbow Bridges—magical constructs that span the distances between peaks, allowing for swift travel and communication. They are a symbol of the sect's unity; the destruction of a bridge can leave a peak isolated, cut off from the support of the other peaks. VI. Geographic Context On a map of the mainland, Cang Qiong Mountain and Zhao Hua Monastery are located in the east. Tian Yi Temple sits at the center, while Huan Hua Palace occupies the south. Within the territory that Cang Qiong Mountain Sect covers, there are a number of towns and cities, with Shuang Hu City being one of the most prominent. VII. The Endless Abyss The Endless Abyss is located "underneath" Cang Qiong Mountain—beneath all twelve peaks. During the merger of the realms, the skies surged with crimson clouds and red lightning from the Abyss, a sign of the demonic energy rising from the depths. The Abyss is where Luo Binghe was pushed in the original timeline and where he fell in the SVSSS timeline before emerging transformed. VIII. Trivia The Heaven-Ascending Stairs serve as both a physical and symbolic barrier: to reach the peaks of cultivation, one must first endure the climb. The Ling Xi Caves' name means "Caves of Knowing Spirits"—a reference to the spiritual energy that gathers there and the heightened awareness cultivators achieve within. The Rainbow Bridges are said to be visible for miles, their lights arcing between the peaks like threads of color woven through the sky. When the Endless Abyss stirred beneath the mountain, the bridges trembled—a reminder that even the greatest human sect sits atop forces it cannot fully control. Location Descriptions: Key Locations in SVSSS --- Endless Abyss (无间深渊) I. Overview The Endless Abyss is a liminal space on the boundary between the Human and Demon Realms—a place of twisting, tearing vortices through space, raging flames, and burning magma. It is a place of peril and the unknown, where few enter and fewer return. Its name, Wújiàn Shēnyuān, evokes the Buddhist concept of Avīci—the deepest hell, where suffering is ceaseless. II. Geography & Nature The Abyss is located "underneath" Cang Qiong Mountain, extending beneath all twelve peaks. It is a realm of chaos: vortices tear through space, flames rage without consuming, and magma burns in rivers beneath the earth. It is neither fully human nor fully demon—a place between, belonging to neither realm and claimed by both. III. Role in the Story The Endless Abyss is where Luo Binghe is pushed by Shen Qingqiu in both the original Proud Immortal Demon Way and the SVSSS timeline. It is his crucible: the place where he finds the Xin Mo sword, unseals his demon blood, learns the truth of his origins, and emerges transformed. In the original timeline, he spent five years in the Abyss, training and learning otherworldly techniques. In the SVSSS timeline, he escaped after two years, found near the Luo River by Qin Wanyue. When Tianlang-jun began to merge the Human and Demon realms, the Endless Abyss began to merge with Cang Qiong Mountain. Crimson clouds billowed across the sky, red lightning pierced the horizon, and boulders wrapped in flames hurtled toward the mountain like giant meteors. IV. Significance For Luo Binghe, the Abyss is both trauma and transformation—the place where he was abandoned and the place where he found his power. He rarely speaks of it, but when he does, it is with a bitterness that cuts deep. After learning of Shen Qingqiu's adventures while he was suffering in the Abyss, he lamented: "This disciple was in the Endless Abyss cutting his way through thorns, while shizun was surrounded with green hills and crystal waters and enjoying himself with other men..." --- Holy Mausoleum (圣陵) I. Overview The Holy Mausoleum is both a sacred land for the demon race and a forbidden area in the Demon Realm. It is where past supreme rulers are laid to rest upon death. Unlike human tombs, which are built underground, the mausoleum stands above ground—a reflection of demon customs being the "complete opposite" of human ones. II. Geography & Protection The mausoleum is surrounded by a barrier so powerful that even the Xin Mo sword cannot breach it. Most demons die upon entering unless they possess the highest rank; only Zhuzhi-lang has been shown to be able to enter freely. The only other way to enter is to be dead already—a soul repossessing its own dead body. Inside, the mausoleum is a labyrinth of traps and demonic guardians. Blind corpses patrol the halls; they cannot see under normal circumstances, but when the Last Breath Candles are lit, they gain sight. Full-demonic creatures hide in the darkness, guarding the tombs of ancient rulers. III. The Three Halls The mausoleum consists of three halls layered one after another—Delight, Fury, and Sorrow—each named after an emotion and each guarded by a demon sorceress painted on the walls. Hall of Delight: A smiling woman's face is painted on the wall, jewels inlaid in her eyes. If the jewels are taken, her smile widens until her mouth gapes open, releasing a piercing laughter that serves as an auditory weapon. The sound is especially effective against demons—designed, after all, to guard against demon tomb raiders. Hall of Fury: A furious woman's face is painted on the floor. Any misstep triggers a pillar of magma thick enough to enclose four men, shooting upward to engulf the trespasser instantly. The only safe path is to step on specific acupuncture points. Hall of Sorrow: A woman's face with tight-knit brows twisted in lamentation is painted on the ceiling. When intruders are sensed, her eyes open, her features twist into motion, and her expression grows increasingly miserable. Then, drops of water seep from her eyes—ghostly rain that patters to the ground. What this rain does to humans or demons remains unknown. IV. The Crypts Each crypt in the Holy Mausoleum was designed by nobles of past generations for their own use. Like apartments, each tomb's occupant brought what they had and decorated according to their preference. Mobei-jun's ancestors, for example, created a crypt of unnatural cold—anything with a temperature higher than the air freezes into an ice sculpture within moments, shattering into shards after two or three days. V. Significance The Holy Mausoleum contains a secret: a soul recall array capable of reviving the dead. It is here that Tianlang-jun was resurrected—a plot point that in Proud Immortal Demon Way dragged for 2,000 words, but in SVSSS was cut down significantly. --- Luo River (洛川) I. Overview The Luo River is the river from which Luo Binghe takes his name. As an infant, he was placed in a wooden basin and set adrift on its waters; nine days later, fishermen found him among the ice floes and named him after the frozen river that had carried him. II. Geography The Luo River is described as "raging" in Shen Yuan's recollection, though other translations call it merely a "current." It is quite broad and borders Jin Lan City, where it merges with the Heng River. Not far from it lies Zhao Hua Monastery. III. Significance The Luo River is the site of Luo Binghe's origin—the place where Su Xiyan, dying after childbirth, set her son adrift to give him a chance at survival. It is also where, after the merging of realms, the mountains of Mai Gu Ridge pierced through the river's surface, forming an island in its center. --- Jue Di Gorge (绝地谷) I. Overview Jue Di Gorge—the "Hopeless Land"—is a mountainous region of treacherous terrain spanning seven peaks. It is the site of the Immortal Alliance Conference, where disciples from across the cultivation world compete in trials of skill and survival. II. Geography The gorge is a rolling mountain range extending for many kilometers, overflowing with verdant greenery. Bright springs and dark rivers, waterfalls and wondrous stones, deep valleys and soaring peaks fill its landscape. As its name suggests, some terrain represents "the brink of despair"—yet in the next moment, paths wind through the peaks, "indelible and unerasable." In Shen Qingqiu's eyes, this reminder—that even in hopeless places, there is a way forward—is "vital for both adventurers and homebodies." III. Significance The Immortal Alliance Conference is held here. It is during this conference that Luo Binghe's demon heritage is discovered, leading to his being pushed into the Endless Abyss. It is also where Qin Wanyue first meets him and takes a hit meant for him, beginning their ill-fated relationship. --- Jin Lan City (金兰城) I. Overview Jin Lan City—the "Golden Orchid City"—is a bustling trade hub located in the Central Plains between two major rivers: the Luo River and the Heng River. It is known for its prosperity and its trade routes, accessible only by bridge or boat. II. Geography An enormous formation, created by Zhao Hua Monastery, floats above the city to prevent spiritual objects from flying in. The city's main street was once full of people and endless streams of horses and carriages; the Jin Zi Weapons Shop, a large building taking up four lots, sits on the widest road. III. The Plague of Jin Lan City The city's gates were closed for two months, with no one allowed to enter or leave. A merchant escaped by water and went to Zhao Hua Monastery for help—but dropped dead on the monastery's steps. Three Zhao Hua disciples were sent to investigate; they never returned. Ten more from Tian Yi Overlook were sent; they also did not return. Three peak lords from Cang Qiong Mountain—Shen Qingqiu, Liu Qingge, and Mu Qingfang—entered through an underground water passage. Inside, they found the city's residents draped in black cloth, walking hesitantly. They discovered Wu Chen, the Zhao Hua monk, who had lost his lower legs to the plague. The plague had three stages: first, a small rash; after half a month, the rash spread and began rotting; after a month, the limb rotted to the bone. Black cloth slowed the progression. Those infected could not move far, or the plague would progress wildly. IV. The Truth There was no plague. The "plague" was the work of sowers—red-skinned demons responsible for making rotten food for demons. Multiple sowers had gathered in Jin Lan City to produce food for the demon realm. Zhuzhi-lang later revealed that the origin was Tianlang-jun, who had created the operation to resolve a food shortage in Nan Jiang, a southern demon tribe. V. Legacy After the sowers were captured, the gates opened and the city came alive again. But the survivors remained furious at the sowers and at any method of disposing of the rotting corpses. The lord of Jin Lan City—a nameless middle-aged man of sincerity and propriety—oversaw the city's recovery. --- Mai Gu Ridge (埋骨岭) I. Overview Mai Gu Ridge—the "Buried Bone Ridge"—is a mountainous territory within the Demon Realm located underneath the Luo River. Its name speaks to its nature: a place of death, where old skeletal bones grow from every corner, and the mountains themselves are black stone against white ground. II. Geography The ridge is a labyrinth of hundreds of interconnecting, twisting tunnels, like a wasp's nest with one cave connected to another. Tall cavernous mountains are surrounded by dark poisonous plants. At the center lies a skull—the heart of the mountain—surrounded by dense vines, leaves, and a heavy layer of fog. III. Role in the Story Tianlang-jun chose Mai Gu Ridge as the "best place" to begin merging the human and demon realms. As the merging began, the mountains pierced through the Luo River's surface, reaching halfway to the sky. Tianlang-jun held the Xin Mo sword, which was driving the merger, wedged into an opening in the limestone at the cavern's far end. Peak lords from Cang Qiong Mountain, Luo Binghe, and monks from Zhao Hua Monastery entered the ridge to stop him. They fought through demons and treacherous terrain as the mountains trembled and the cavern began to collapse. The merging only stopped when Luo Binghe shattered Xin Mo. IV. Aftermath After Xin Mo's destruction, the entire mountain range exploded into countless stones. Most of the mountain crashed into the icy Luo River, forming a large crater in the earth. The ridge that had threatened to unite the realms—and destroy them both—was reduced to rubble and ruin. Location Descriptions: Additional Locations in SVSSS --- Bai Lu Mountain (白露山) I. Overview Bai Lu Mountain—"White Dew Mountain"—is located in the southern area of the mainland, along the border of Huan Hua Palace's territory. It consists of a sizable forest and a single grotto, and is the grand mountain under which Tianlang-jun was sealed. The mountain and its forest share the same name. II. Bai Lu Forest The Bai Lu Forest is a sizeable woodland with many ancient trees and foliage dense enough to block out most sunlight. Those wandering the forest may sometimes get caught in Huan Hua Palace's protective array and unwittingly walk in circles. According to Huan Hua Palace's reports, there had been no demonic attacks, and even fierce beasts were uncommon. Perhaps due to its peacefulness, human settlements could be found scattered within a five-kilometer radius. III. The Grotto & Lushui Lake The only cave in Bai Lu Forest is an unnamed grotto where Lushui Lake is located. Here, the rare Sun-Moon Dew Mushrooms grow naturally. The lake is fed by morning dew and possesses excellent feng shui that allows spiritual energy to cycle inexhaustibly. IV. Significance Bai Lu Mountain is where Tianlang-jun was sealed beneath the earth for decades. It is also where Shen Qingqiu, Shang Qinghua, and Gongyi Xiao encountered Zhuzhi-lang during the search for the Sun-Moon Dew Mushroom. --- Bamboo House (竹舍) I. Overview The Bamboo House is the residence of the Peak Lord of Qing Jing Peak. It is a modest, elegant structure built from bamboo, reflecting the scholarly, refined nature of the peak it represents. II. Location & Layout The house sits on Qing Jing Peak. To the left are the woodshed and disciple dormitories; to the right is the kitchen. The house serves as both living quarters and a place for receiving visitors, holding meetings with disciples, and conducting the business of the peak. III. Significance The Bamboo House is where Shen Qingqiu (both Shen Jiu and Shen Yuan) lived during his tenure as Qing Jing Peak Lord. It is here that Luo Binghe trained, that Shen Yuan first woke after transmigrating, and that many key scenes take place. The house appears frequently throughout the novel as a space of both tension and domesticity. --- Borderlands (边境之地) I. Overview The Borderlands are areas where the boundary between the Human and Demon Realms is weak, resulting in a thinned barrier that allows passage between the two realms without crossing the Endless Abyss. Due to this permeability, the Borderlands are prone to frequent raids from opportunistic demons, leaving the area sparsely settled by humans. II. Geography Because of the weakened barrier, time and space are thrown into disarray. The Borderlands are described as a desolate wasteland prone to demon raids. Few mortals are willing to settle here; only a few garrisons of cultivators remain to guard these areas. The boundary crosses over mountains—this is where Shen Qingqiu was revived after his death. III. Life in the Borderlands There have been cases where humans and demons intermingled and formed prosperous cities, but these do not last long and often end in mass evacuations. Today, the area is sparsely populated, with a continued depopulation trend. Opportunistic demons take advantage of the permeable barrier to skulk, kill, and pillage as they wish. According to stationed disciples, there is a battle twice every three days. IV. Significance Shang Qinghua and Shen Qingqiu buried Dew Mushrooms deep in the mountains of the Borderlands as preparation for their prospective deaths. After being revived, Shen Qingqiu discovered that Sha Hualing had captured and imprisoned several cultivators in her lair here. He rescued Yang Yixuan, Liu Mingyan, Qiu Haitang, and the Three Taoists. --- Chi Yun Cave (赤云窟) I. Overview Chi Yun Cave—"Red Cloud Cave"—is an underground cave system that was under the control of Sha Hualing. Its entrance resembles a splendid mausoleum, marked by a stone sign with three calligraphic letters. II. Interior Inside, a large hall is carpeted with strange beast skins, including a huge tiger skin. Along both walls are chained cages used to hold cultivators. The cave follows typical Demon Realm architecture, being built underground as demons prefer darkness for their dwellings. The interior holds no light and is described as dim. III. Significance The cave served as Sha Hualing's lair. Shen Qingqiu entered it after his revival to rescue captured cultivators, including Liu Mingyan and the Three Taoists. The tiger skin carpet may be a reference to Plum in the Golden Vase, where the character Pan Jinlian is symbolically associated with tigers for how she "devours" men. --- Demon Realm (魔界) I. Overview The Demon Realm is a separate space where all demons and their ilk reside. It is separated from the Mortal Realm by a barrier, with the Endless Abyss partitioning the two. The Demon Realm appears to be made up of several different regions and has a feudal system in place. The elite nobles who rule have the most potent demon bloodlines, with the Demon Lords of the ancient line of Heavenly Demons ruling at the top. II. Regions Northern Territory: A region far north covered in ice, ruled by ice demons who have a natural affinity for ice and can manipulate it. Mobei-jun was the Lord of the Northern Territory but has since given his lands to Luo Binghe. Most demons of the North have humanoid forms. Southern Kingdom: Ruled by Tianlang-jun before his fall. Beastly demons and half-beast hybrids are common in the south. Borderlands: Areas where the barrier is weak, allowing passage between realms. III. Architecture Demon Realm architecture typically consists of excavated subterranean caves that do not see the sun nor moon throughout the year. However, Luo Binghe's palace pierces through the ground at the top, allowing sunlight to enter—adding "more than a little bit of human character." His room is arranged similarly to the Bamboo House on Qing Jing Peak. IV. Locations The Demon Realm contains the Holy Mausoleum (burial grounds for past rulers), Chi Yun Cave (Sha Hualing's lair), and Mai Gu Ridge (where Tianlang-jun attempted to merge the realms). --- Dream Realm (梦境之地) I. Overview The Dream Realm is a highly mutable space that shifts between abstract and realistic manifestations of reality. When abstract, it manifests as blobs of colors; when realistic, it can create incredibly detailed environments like city streets and markets. II. Nature & Dangers The Dream Realm contains faceless "people" formed from the mind and consciousness of the dream's host. Attacking these dream entities is dangerous, as it affects the dreamer's own mind. Malicious entities may use dreams to attack a person, shifting between scenes erratically and drawing upon the host's memories, particularly their traumas and misfortunes. Entry into the Dream Realm appears possible while sleeping, though sometimes people can be unexpectedly pulled into it. III. Significance Meng Mo, the Dream Demon, resides in and controls aspects of the Dream Realm. Luo Binghe learned to create and manipulate dreams under his tutelage. The Dream Realm is where Shen Qingqiu encountered the original Luo Binghe (Bing-ge) and where many of Shen Jiu's traumatic memories were revealed. --- Hua Yue City (花月城) I. Overview Hua Yue City—"Flower Moon City"—is a busy, luxurious city located in the Central Plains near Huan Hua Palace. Plenty of cultivation sects and rich families reside within its walls. II. Atmosphere The streets are crowded with vendors and people, with music filling the air. During the city's founding festival, the streets become incredibly bustling and decorated, illuminated day and night with colorful lamps. Residents often wear masks that resemble demons. The city has a defensive formation array that prevents swords or spiritual objects from flying in. III. Significance Hua Yue City is where Shen Qingqiu arranged to meet Gongyi Xiao after escaping the Water Prison. It is also where he encountered Luo Binghe in a dreamscape that recreated the city in vivid detail, and where Shen Qingqiu later sacrificed his golden core and "died" before Liu Qingge caught his falling body. --- Lushui Lake (露水湖) I. Overview Lushui Lake—"Dew Lake"—is a non-tributary lake made of morning dew, located inside the only cave in Bai Lu Forest. It is the natural habitat of the Sun-Moon Dew Mushroom. II. Geography The stone cave is pitch-dark and damp, with a meandering path that starts wide enough for three people but narrows until one must turn sideways to pass. The path leads to a wide cavern with a giant opening in the ceiling that allows sunlight and moonlight to pour onto the mushrooms like a spotlight. The lake water is described as jade-like, glittering and resplendent. According to Shen Qingqiu, it is neither cold nor hot and healthy to soak in. Zhuzhi-lang, after years of drinking the lake water, had eyes that resembled the water and lichen in his scales matching the walls—showing the long-term effects of living in this environment. III. Ecology The Sun-Moon Dew Mushrooms grow on a mound of soil in the center of the lake. The ecosystem relies on morning dew to nourish the plants, which then nourish the soil and water. Removing the mushrooms could harm the cycling of spiritual energy and eventually cause the lake to dry up. --- Ling Xi Caves (灵犀洞) I. Overview The Ling Xi Caves—"Knowing Spirit Caves"—are the best cultivation spot on Cang Qiong Mountain. Located on Qiong Ding Peak, they naturally collect the essence of heaven and earth, offering twice the results in half the time. Only senior sect members and outstanding disciples are permitted to cultivate there, requiring the Sect Master's permission. II. Description The caves are labyrinthine, with a thousand twists and turns leading into what seems to be a strange and beautiful otherworld—cool and quiet. White cloud-like stones and green jade-like stones create wonders, along with natural stone beds. In one chamber, a pool of clear water reflects like a mirror. The walls of that chamber are covered in countless gashes and gouges made by blade and sword glares, swathed in dried blood—implied to be from Yue Qingyuan's qi deviation after claiming Xuan Su. III. Significance The Ling Xi Caves are where Liu Qingge suffered his fatal qi deviation in the original timeline, and where Shen Yuan saved him in the SVSSS timeline. They are also where Yue Qingyuan experienced his own qi deviation, bonding his soul to Xuan Su and costing him the ability to draw his sword freely. --- Shuang Hu City (双湖) I. Overview Shuang Hu City—"Twin Lakes City"—is a small but bustling city within the territory of Cang Qiong Mountain Sect, located several tens of kilometers away (reachable within an incense time by sword). Despite its size, the city is lively, with a market, a coroner, a cosmetics shop, and the Chen Manor. II. The Skinner Demon Incident Nine beautiful young women were discovered dead in Shuang Hu City, their skin meticulously peeled off. Several influential families, including Old Master Chen, sent to Cang Qiong Mountain for assistance. Shen Qingqiu was dispatched with his disciples for what was meant to be a training mission. Ming Fan examined corpses and soil for demonic energy with talismans while Ning Yingying and Luo Binghe went to the market. Ning Yingying was kidnapped; Luo Binghe ran to get Shen Qingqiu, who tracked the demonic energy to an abandoned house. The Skinner Demon (disguised as the concubine Die-er) captured them. Shen Qingqiu tricked the demon into focusing on Luo Binghe, whose "protagonist halo" caused a ceiling beam to fall on the demon. Luo Binghe freed Shen Qingqiu, who killed the demon with a palm strike. III. Legacy Over a decade later, Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe visited the city on their honeymoon. The room where the Skinner Demon had lived was still disturbed by wails and screams—the lingering spirit of the demon, which ascended to the heavens in gleeful self-satisfaction upon learning the master and disciple had become a couple. --- Succubus Cave (魅妖洞) I. Overview The Succubus Cave is the residence of Madam Meiyin and her followers, serving as a place to hold captive young men. It is located in a mountainous area, accessible by a narrow, thickety mountain path. II. Interior The entrance was originally blocked by a large boulder (later split by Liu Qingge's sword energy). Inside, a wide cavern serves as the main hall, carpeted with sweet-smelling herbs and damask. Twelve elegant maids are stationed in two groups along the sides, carrying oval fans. The decor reflects Madam Meiyin's taste for luxury and refinement. III. Significance Shen Qingqiu and Liu Qingge visited the cave to rescue Young Master Huang and other men who had been enraptured by the succubi. Madam Meiyin told Shen Qingqiu's fortune, revealing a "cut red string" (Shen Jiu's broken engagement) and describing his fated person as peerlessly beautiful with strong power and outstanding talent. Liu Qingge, thinking the fortune described him, grew angry. Madam Meiyin sprayed him with aphrodisiac, which made him violent rather than seduced—he destroyed her table and later slaughtered or scattered the succubi. --- Three Realms (三界) I. Traditional Definition Traditionally, the universe is divided into Three Realms: the Heavenly Realm (where gods reside), the Mortal Realm (the human world), and the Ghost Realm (the realm of the dead). II. In SVSSS In Scum Villain, when the text speaks of the original Luo Binghe "unifying the three realms," it refers not to the traditional three but to the Demon Realm, the Mortal Realm, and the Cultivation World—he becomes emperor and ruler of all three. There is no indication he ever took control of the Heavenly or Ghost Realms. When the original Luo Binghe "merged the realms" with Xin Mo, he specifically merged the Demon Realm, the Mortal Realm, and the Endless Abyss. III. Structure In SVSSS, the Demon Realm is a separate space where demons reside. The Endless Abyss acts as a boundary between the Human and Demon Realms, though it can be bypassed in the Borderlands where the barrier is thin. Cultivators do not have a separate "Immortal Realm"; instead, the Cultivation World—with its sects and cultivators—serves as the third realm while remaining technically within the Mortal Realm. --- Warm Red Pavilion I. Overview The Warm Red Pavilion was the largest brothel located in a remote town near Cang Qiong Mountain Sect. It was an establishment that Shen Jiu frequented. II. The Incident Before the story began, a Bai Zhan Peak disciple spotted Shen Jiu entering the brothel and followed him in to mock and discredit him for maintaining a virtuous facade while visiting such an establishment. Shen Jiu beat the disciple bloody. Liu Qingge flew into a rage and rushed to the pavilion to confront him. Yue Qingyuan discovered Bai Zhan Peak disciples preparing to vandalize Shen Qingqiu's Bamboo House and intervened at the pavilion before the two peak lords could cause more damage to the town. He reprimanded Shen Qingqiu for his behavior, noting that while Cang Qiong Sect had no explicit rules against visiting such establishments, disciples should maintain self-discipline. III. Significance The incident further strained the already tense relationship between Shen Qingqiu and Liu Qingge. The truth behind Shen Jiu's visits remains ambiguous—his inner monologue suggests it was a misunderstanding—but the rumors contributed to his reputation as a lecherous man. The reality may have been that he sought refuge with the women of the pavilion due to his deep-seated distrust of men, a pattern established in his childhood. --- Water Prison (水牢) I. Overview The Water Prison is among Huan Hua Palace's famed facilities, where many notorious criminals of the cultivation world are held. It is an underground dungeon with complex terrain, accompanied by a Labyrinth Formation designed to hold cultivators. It was unanimously chosen by all cultivation sects as their public prison due to its reputation for being inescapable. II. Geography The Water Prison consists of a giant stone cave with a dark, murky lake at its center. From the lake rises a white stone platform made of special jade-like material, accessed via a retractable stone path. The lake contains highly corrosive liquid that completely dissolves anything that falls into it—even stones vanish without trace. Above the platform, an airtight curtain of water can be activated to enclose prisoners. The platform requires someone's weight to remain on it at all times; otherwise, the water curtain automatically activates. Yellow torches line the cave walls, their flames reflecting off the dark water. The entrance is a maze of intersecting paths and caves, making navigation impossible without a guide who knows the layout. III. Shen Qingqiu's Imprisonment Shen Qingqiu was held here while awaiting trial by the four sects. The Little Palace Mistress attempted to whip him but was stopped by Luo Binghe. Later, Gongyi Xiao freed him from the Immortal-Binding Cables and returned Xiu Ya. Shen Qingqiu escaped by leaving an unconscious guard on the platform to maintain its weight mechanism, then navigated the maze with Gongyi Xiao's help.
