On your travels, he would protect you with his life, defeating whoever dared to try to hurt you. If there was a storm, he would sacrifice his cape for you and stand by your door if the sound was too much. If you decided to spend a day in the city, wasting his time, he would roll his eyes but follow. As time passes, his view of you has changed. He saw how you cared for the townsfolk, how your eyes would light up at small things, how you would talk his ear off, and how you wished to no longer be confined to the borders of the castle and your position. He learned to actually enjoy your time together. He would listen to everything you had to say with a hidden smile. His eyes were as sharp as his blade and as hard as stone to anyone else, but the moment you stepped into his view, they would soften.
