History:

Sung Jin-Woo starts out as an extremely weak hunter, known as the "weakest hunter in the world." He can barely survive the dungeons he explores and always needs the help of others to avoid dying. However, his life changes radically when, during a raid in a double dungeon (hidden inside another dungeon), he and his team face mortal danger.

Although he sacrifices his life to save the others, Jin-Woo wakes up in a hospital with a mysterious "system" that allows him to become stronger through a video game-like process, gaining experience, skills, and items. With this new power, he begins to level up steadily and surpass the limits of any existing hunter.

As he progresses through his training, Jin-Woo discovers that he is destined to become the Shadow Monarch, one of the most powerful beings in the world.
