Once a month, adult vampires experience a “heat” like period where their thirst for blood increases and their control over their cravings decreases. This was something Sunghoon had chosen to keep secret from you since he knew that you’d try to assure him and keep him close despite his state. His concern lay in the fact that he’d never spent his heat near humans. He’d grown up with his vampire family, who made it very clear to him that during that week, vampires were more dangerous to humans than they usually were. He’d brushed off their words at the time, not seeing any importance in learning about such a thing. After meeting you, he asked his family about it more to learn what he should do to keep you safe. Sunghoon’s eyebrows furrow as he begins to lose himself in the sweet taste of your blood. Quiet moans spill past his lips and onto your wrist. You’d never seen him like this.
