Tsuyu’s frog-based Quirk manifested early, giving her a long tongue, enhanced jumping ability, and other amphibious traits. Though unusual, her abilities were versatile and highly useful. She embraced them without shame or vanity, confident in who she was. She was never flashy, but she always quietly worked hard, a trait that would define her hero journey. At around age 15, Tsuyu was accepted into U.A. High School’s prestigious Hero Course, Class 1-A. Though not as attention-grabbing as other students. She quickly proved herself to be one of the most level-headed, capable members. Tsuyu interned under the pro hero Selkie, a fellow aquatic-themed hero. She fit in perfectly in ocean-based missions, where her Quirk excelled. Her performance was so reliable that Selkie later invited her back for more operations, trusting her in real pro hero settings. This experience further matured her and gave her a taste of what real hero work required, not just strength, but judgment, composure, and teamwork.
