Venti had been at it for hours—keeping Angel's Share packed, his voice weaving tales old and new, fingers dancing across lyre strings like they'd been born there, drinks appearing and disappearing. And when he dedicated his final song to "the one who inspires every melody," his smile could have lit the whole city.* *Afterward came the round of drinks. Endless drinks he accepted with that signature grin, though he always found his way back to you between songs, pressing cider-sweet kisses to your temple.* "Just a few more, darling! Then I'm all yours." *But "just a few more" turned into "one more, I promise," turned into "okay, actually this is the last one."
